Thanks bro.. I try to enable Samba but seems like i couldn't find the router in my network places.. It should appear as a computer right? the only thing i can access is the media..
*
That's the idea. Not supposed to be searching for your router under networking.

ooo.. can teach me how to access the router? from "run"? whats should i type?

Oh.. My bad, just isolated your posts and see that you are looking for a better way to upload and download files off a USB drive that's connected to your Asus's router, other than using the AiCloud app... Your previous post makes more sense to me now.. smile.gif

I'm unsure how you'd go about it as I'm unfamiliar with that router model. However, did some light digging and found a few steps that may help you. Try these methods.

Finally got my hands on the RT-AC1200G+, the affordable Wireless AC router from Asus.

It offers a great value and performs decently. Definitely a good replacement for the stock TM router, DIR-850L.

Nice review..

QUOTE(alexloon @ Apr 25 2017, 12:10 PM)
Nice writeup dude, was one ok my option between RT-AC55UHP and this. Cheers!
*
The Asus RT-AC55UHP is still a better buy, especially if one needs any of the following. Which IMO justifies the price difference between them;
*Wider WiFi coverage.
*Significantly better USB read and write speeds.
*More USB ports.
*More flash memory.
*Download master, AiDisk file server & Dual WAN.
*Significantly better real world wireless throughput speed on 5Ghz... etc.

So yeah, I'd still pick the RT-AC55UHP over the RT-AC1200G+ without blinking.. smile.gif

QUOTE(jacky91 @ May 23 2017, 10:51 AM)
what does the B1 mean?
*
It refers to the hardware version. Typically, the same model can be released with a hardware change or 2. Once done, the newer hardware is tagged as such.. Looks like B1 is the latest hardware revision.

do you have any recommendation seller online who would carry this model?

You can get it from the usual online sources: Lazada, Lelong, etc..

QUOTE(zuhaili87 @ May 23 2017, 12:34 PM)
Hi, currently im using RT-N12HP_B1 because i needed the signal strength to fully cover my house.

The problem is i just upgraded my internet to 100Mbps and TM gave me dlink dir850L. The signal strength was not really good so i was wondering whats the cheapest option for me to replace my router?

Preferably same signal strength as RT-N12HP_B1. Thanks!
*
I suggest the RT-AC55UHP or RT-AC68U.

RT-AC68U have strong wifi signal?
*
It does. Your keyword was "Cheapest" and so i went with that.. My recommendations are the bare minimum.. To get better, you'd have to be willing to pay more and or use 2 routers. smile.gif

Hi ASUS...
Any place can purchase AC68u power adaptor ?
and what's the price ?

Thanks..
*
They don't sell separately.. Have to claim warranty from the seller.. A bit unorthodox and time consuming ASUS!

QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Feb 24 2017, 10:28 AM)
Hi lmogan,

We didn't sell the adapter separately. But our router are came with 3 years warranty including the power adapter.

Thank you

is there anyway to get a new ac adapter for RT-N66U in the market?
*
Not through normal means. Please try the search feature first...

is DSL-AC68U support unifi? support 300,000 session?

DSL- mainly for Streamyx..... RT- for Unifi, etc.. Check behind though if you can use one of the LAN ports as WAN.

Hi, I was wondering for the website blocking feature(parental control), I was wondering if I can specify a custom website to block, is there anyway to do that on the Asus rt-ac68u?
*
URL Filter under Firewall settings.

Ive just tried it but it can block certain websites https website doesn't seems to be able to be blocked with This method, even the app version of the website isn't block even though the website (web browser) is blocked
*
No. This is a technical limitation, since HTTPS encrypts the communication between the browser and the server, the router has no way of accessing that information. That's the whole idea of HTTPS. You can try blocking on a DNS level.. DNS-based Filtering.

Hmm.. I can't say for sure.. Anyway, mine's working, using a competitor's router.

currently I replace TM original router with ASUS AC1200G+. Everything was fine with my UNIFI and hypp tv but the problem occurs on my android tv box(Unblocked tech), it cant be connected. IS there any setting has to be done to enable it?
*
Please define what you mean by "it can't be connected" and describe what you've already done.
