Guys, i found best deal for basic PS3 Super Slim. Price at RM699 brand new. But its 12GB ver. Dont have HDD. Suitable for those who has suck internet line and will never download the games.
12GB Superslim no HDD? You sure its not 120GB? But no hdd? Must be a supermodded version which runs on a USB drive or something.
But bear in mind one thing. Although you never download demo games etc from PSN, some games will need to use the HDD to install a portion of the game into the HDD.
So if you really did buy this then you need to fork out extra money to buy a separate HDD to install in the PS3. The total price should end up around RM850-RM900 which is what a Superslim costs now. Plus all the warranties that come with it. MY or SG set.

If you subscribe to PS+ then it became compulsory to buy a new HDD. That set only target for user that dont have high speed internet or unlimited quota. Not all got ppl got unifi / streamyx unlimited that can dl 10GB++. Heck, some ppl only use broadband that have 3/5GB quoata per month.
Plus, not all game need to be fully install to play. So, this set is worth for that type of ppl. No need to wasted unused HDD space, but can save money for more games. Thumbs for Sony.

are u saying the 12GB PS3Superslim cpst u around that price.. hell yeah.. anyway i found some tutorial to change the 12GB to 250GB HDD for PS3SuperSlim.. but u need to buy the bracket la..

Sony should make it standard all system to run on 12GB flash or SSD drives with the option of additional HDD or buyer can buy themselves and install it for games. The 12GB would be only for system files to run it and all games will be kept in the HDD.
For buyers who dont know what a HDD is they can opt for the optional HDD add on version. But for serious gamers who know better, they can offer the 'empty' set with no HDD so the buyer can go out andd buy their own HDD size and install it.

Anyway, I am confident that the power supply is the culprit as the USB ports also sometimes fail to power USB connected device, e.g. controllers, HDD, camera, etc, and this is random between the two ports.
Anyone knows places to repair them and estimated cost of power supply replacement?
