Haha! tongue.gif I think I gonna get Xperia Z than waiting S IV. Kind of bored of Samsung plastic look and I use/buy too many Samsung phone (S500, Pixon M8800, Ultra Touch S8300, D900i, OMNIA II, Galaxy S II, Galaxy W, Galaxy S III) already in my life! Probably is time to change. hehe...

But one thing concern me on Sony is I notice seems their BE engine and Clear Sound+ will gone once you root the phone.. hmm.......... if this case, I can't root? hmmm....

the samsung device you have before omnia 2 don't know them at all lol
for the xperia z, so fast you know once root those feature will gone ?
yet, just give developer some time, they will hack it smile.gif

and that true, samsung always use plastic ~.~

Haha! S500 was 1st Samsung flip phone in color. Pixon was Samsung outstanding 12MP camera phone. Ultra Touch S8300 was Samsung elegance (pure solid, not a plastic phone) slide phone with gorgeous 8MP camera. As for D900i, I not sure why I buy it, maybe fancy on it touch sensitive button. If not wrong, that was 1st phone in market got touch sensitive button and yark.. it was way too sensitive actually....

I seen few times people left comment mention previous XPERIA is like that for all it BE and clear sound+ issue. But I never go check any XDA XPERIA site yet. But I believe got solution just not easier probably. As for now, don't care, if really after root the function is gone, then don't root until XDA find solution. smile.gif Whatever I still want XPERIA Z. Haha!

Haven't bought one yet was looking at this webpage.

Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300-16gb Brand New Set 24 Months Warranty FOC Pouc..

Are they a reliable retailer, seen their name on here quite a bit.

Let me explain. I want to buy an S3 in KL as they are cheaper than Thailand. It will not be easy for me to get back to Malaysia to make a warranty claim therefore I am thinking of an AP unit and the money I save, 700RM, could be used to make any repairs if I am unlucky enough to need to. So really I am gambling that any repairs needed will not cost more than 700RM and forgetting about any warranty. Now if the phone suffers sudden death then I am screwed so I am looking to minimise this risk if possible. From what I have read no 32GB S3 has suffered sudden death so that would seem to be the best AP option. BTW the 32GB unit isn't even available in Thailand.

You can press and hold every launcher shortcut (not the app drawer) and then you can pick your own icon to replace it. You can find a lot icons on net.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Just go to any shop in KL and make sure the s3 is not cloned one. Buy it and you are free to leave Malaysia with a brand new s3. And do keep up with this forum and xda to get updated for the fix of sudden death

it is not the cause of hardware, it's cause is software based, a corrupted memory block, fixable by flashing new kernel / bootloader, so any variant will do, just need to root and flash things

No same sudden death issue for 32GB as the eMMC firmware is different. FYI - it seems, the 16GB eMMC for Note2 is the same as SIII as well so that is why there are some cases of sudden death as well.

If worried about SIII sudden death, read this to mitigate your risks

I think it will suffer the same risk...

Because not many people using 32gb.. therefore the probability SDS will happen of course is much more lower... even though SDS happens on 32gb user but they might not report in XDA also.. in my opinion la.. hehe wink.gif

Guys, just got my phone yesterday Gray SME S3. Hardware version is 1.5 so I guess no SDS issue. Everything checked and worked well. I switched from iOS to android, and for me the S3 is not very smooth. Especially when I am installing/downloading multiple apps at once. Anyone can recommend what good apps to monitor my S3 or other useful app? I am new to Android after all and I am still exploring. Hehe. Looking forward to join u guys.
