No-lah, it is a state called "Deep Sleep". Look at your BBS CPU States readout.

thanks for the advise,
i just call up to Maxis 123, they told me 4g lte is only for their wireless modem only, phone  with lte capable is currently not supported even the famous Crapphone 4+1 with lte is unable to utilize it.... will drop by Tmn.Tun maxis center to find out later today

Any 1 can confirm this?
*
Woohoo nice new term crapphone 4+1 hahaha good one.

ipong 4+1 LTE frequency is different and does not have our band 2600MHz at all hahhaa so crapple will tell you just to wait for the updated model that supports this frequency and pay again for another one.

A fool and his money is soon parted.

bro, from an ergonomics perspective, having to crane your neck to look all the way up and back down at the road can cause vertigo and poses a safety risk.

I mount mine via a velcro-d mount immediately above the dial cluster so that I only need to shift my viewing angle with my eyes and I am still looking straight ahead.

Bro like att00 said, do a fullwipe. I also had this problem when I didn't fullwipe. Invest in Titanium backup and restore at leisure. Also be familiar with how to use some apps' built in backups.

flashed my wife's Note II back to Turkey LL5 stock rom via Mobile Odin Pro.  Allcast Share dongle works great now but the image not as clear as i expected on my old HD LCD TV and the Full HD 27" Samsung monitor.  And sadly confirmed one thing - the GPS unit got problem.  It takes a long time to lock GPS, compared to my Grey Note II.  I thought it was custom rom/kernel that coz the problem but now confirm it is hardware problem. Will send it back for RMA in coming months.  sad.gif

I'm curious why would a bootloader fix the root access bug? Shouldn't it be in the kernel?

New bootloader may fix the superbrick bug by fixing the emmc controls perhaps?

Yes, I was asking rhethorically tongue.gif

However, a new bootloader without changelog can mean that samsung is tightening the screws on rom modding...hopefully it's not and will be benign.

Oh ya , i remember someone mentioned that MAXIS's LTE only support broadband and not phone line for now . Am I correct ?
*
Yes someone from yesterday, not me though. Yesterday seems like so long ago. So it seems they are banking on selling the dongles as well. It does imply that they did not perform any testing on LTE capable phones for certification.

I recall fruitie mentioned she will occasionally sit with the engineers testing LTE and use the line...which also implies that LTE devices for WWAN access are tested and likely not phones....therefore caveat emptor for LTE phones here although technically I don't see why it shouldn't simply work.

Update: It occurs to me that the APN settings may need updating on the sims, and they may have a number range to provision this for a beta test (by paying customers nonetheless).

No, the "charge for 8 hours" meme has been around for the last 10 years. Modern batteries do not need this conditioning but you can still do it. I leave mine on the charger overnight everyday.

I'm on stock rom rooted with custom kernel right now, if I want to use deodexed stock rom, would I still need to backup and reinstall everything? Can I just flash the new deodexed stock rom on top of my current stock rom like upgrading?
*
Depends on whether the rom is defined as wipe or no wipe. It is usually safer to wipe. Stock to stock can usually be nowipe but you may experience some wieird stuff. See some of antt00's posts in the last 12 hours for help.

An article about the closure of Installous and discussion of piracy.

THIS IS NOT AN ADVOCACY OF PIRACY but an article discussing issues about it:

http://www.phonearena.com/news/App-piracy-...duce-it_id38296

Piracy is at the fundamental level categorized as stealing, but the comment below tries to offer insight into the supposed correlation between lower piracy levels on crapple vs other platforms.

From comment no 30:
etschreiber posted on 6 hours ago 5

While I don't particularly care one way or the other about software piracy (and I am a developer), it seems clear that on some level it is stealing. Nonetheless, to blame this guy or as you say, the group of consumers represented by this guy for a lack of good developer support for android is ridiculous.

That has been the swan song of the software industry for as long as piracy has existed. There is no difference to them if a person pirates their software or just chooses not to buy it. To assume that someone who pirates something would otherwise buy it is specious. There is a market for everything and it is the developer's job to understand the market and tap into it.

It turns out that there is a correlation between the types of people who pay for apple products and the types of people who are willing to buy lots of apps. This shouldn't be surprising as apple products tend to be luxury oriented. They tend to be polished, pretty and sold at a price premium. People willing to pay a premium for a luxury product tend to be the people who don't mind forking over a few bucks for an app.

So to blame this on piracy is ludicrous, it is simply the market segmentation of the cult of Apple. Steve Jobs once famously said, "A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them." Google's mission statement on the other hand is, "to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful." Apple is about telling you what to buy and their consumers listen, Google is about making the world freely accessible. You can guess what type of person is attracted to each platform.

=============

Well, so, people buying iphones seem to be in the "luxury" buyer market ???? crapphone 1+4 @ RM2199 vs Note 2 @ RM2299 ??

I would want to interpret the guy's last statement in red that people who value freedom (or just plain value?) look to non-crapple platforms, and perhaps people with more money than sense gravitate towards the bling-bling that crapple TELLS YOU you want as opposed to knowing yourself what you want???

So Noobi3's sig line is very much applicable.
