Hi everybody, my gf has a dog and recently one of his front leg was cut off due to injury from accident and infection for quite some time. Is there any vet or places I can get a support tool or fake leg for him to be able to walk properly again?

Hi everyone,

I need advice on which vet in Kuala Lumpur that is knowledgeable in treating dog ear infection. My dog has ear infection for 6 months now. She first got yeast infection for 4 months then later progress into bacteria infection. A month ago, my vet had done ear culture test on her ears and turns out its Pseudomonas infection. The antibiotic ointment worked for 2 weeks then came back again once I stopped after finishing the course for 5 days. Now the antibiotic ointment doesn't work so well anymore due to resistance. My vet does not know what medication to prescribe now other than using back the old one and come back for review. Please help, I want a second opinion. I've been cleaning and administering medications into my dog ears since it started and nothing seems to stop her infection. The longest time it stopped was that 5 days.

Want to share my unpleasant experience with Animal Medical Center, Jalan Tun Razak, K.L. just yesterday. My two dogs got into a fight and one suffered a 4 in plus deep gash on its shoulder. Being past 7 pm, my regular vet was closed. Was forced to visit AMC which was still open. The vet shaved and cleaned the area around the wound but declined to stitch it. Wanted me to leave my dog there for 3 days for so called surgery, blood tests and observation. Presented an outrageous estimate of RM2000, upfront 80% to be paid. I said no way, paid RM160 for the single visit and left. Today, my regular vet dressed and stitched my dog's wound for less than RM200 and she is now back with me after only 3 hours, not 3 expensive days. Those AMC people are predators. They try to embellish your pet's problem to make more money so don't get taken in by them and their expensive and unnecessary procedures. vmad.gif

Depends on the vet pricing, gender and weight of the animals, plus materials used in stitching, anesthesia, sterilization techniques etc.
An affordable one I know of is Preventicare Veterinary Clinic in Jalan Kuchai. They do low cost spay/neuter. Google for it.

Where can I get cheap service to spay cats? I got a couple of stray cats which have been hanging out around my house. My mom has been feeding them daily. 3 generations. The mum gave birth to a couple of which 3 still survives. And out of the 3, 2 gave birth recently and even the mom gave birth as well. So I'm guessing there's about 20 cats and kittens or so in or around my house now including 5 of my own cats(which have been spayed). So I was planning to spay the cats(if I can catch them) that are around my house. Any idea where I can do this cheaply as there is quite a number of them.

Just adopted a kitten last weekend.

Brought it to SEGAR PETS CENTRE & VETERINARY SERVICES coz I'm staying in Cheras area.

Staff are friendly but the vaccination and neutering price are slightly expensive or is it the current market price?

The staff told me vaccination are around RM60 per jab, neutering are RM230 for female and RM190 for male. Can someone advise on this or maybe recommend a vet shop which has reasonable price? Thank you! notworthy.gif
