yes but it's an old album will upload a new one here. total would be 11 rabbits up to today.
btw, i took them to Heshmael's Clinic for Pets in Kota Damansara. Dr Azilahani attended to it and was very nice.
Even got a discount when i told her it was from PAWS.  biggrin.gif

Please take a second to read my story. DR YEOH TAMAN MEGAH. So many things i would like to complain about. Dont ever bring your pet there. First of all, my cat had an accident which caused 2 fractures one which happened on the jaw, one on the forelimb. I requested the doctor to quote me for a price. The doctor quoted 3 thousand plus rm including jaw surgery, forelimb amputation and stay. I didn't know anything about this as this is my first pet and I only had it for less than a year, I agreed. I visited my cat daily, the vet had a dead dog under my cat's cage for 4 days and was not removed or put into another place. Then the doctor proceeded with the jaw surgery which now , the pin that is suppose to hold my cat's jaw fell out. Then they did not clean him at all, leaving my cat peeing on himself and shitting on himself. Then wound inflammation happened, I had to leave him under care for so long , under untrustworthy service. I mean wouldn't the doctor have known that he would pee and shit? And things like this will infect his wound? From an open wound my cat's paw became inflamed, 2x his other paw size. I couldn't take it anymore i decided to take my cat to another vet. With only jaw surgery done and negligently causing the inflammation i had to pay a total sum up to RM 3.5k. I was surprised. Other things weren't even solved. When I brought him to another vet at Section 17, the doctor identified that the bandaged used , even if I left my cat under care for a year, wouldn't help the wound to recover. He said they used cheap bandaged which will stick to his skin, even if scab forms the bandage will peel the scab off upon removal and therefore would bring it back to a wound.  I really hope that this vet do improve everything, the service they provide and all. In addition, I asked dr Yeoh and told him about the situation, the only thing every person working there would say: OH YOUR CAT IS RECOVERING, IT'S IMPROVING ALOT, NO WORRIES. After my cat was discharged and i brought him the the other vet i mentioned, it is now walking and purring, much better than hiding in corners not moving. By the way, A BANDAGE COSTS RM40 in dr Yeoh. It is really a rip off.
*
that place is a rip off.
i hear from people living there the original dr. yeoh was good.
now his son took over just use the good doctors name.
he just open shops using his fathers name as "branding".
hire young, cheap and inexperience doctors to do "volume sales" not quality health care.
any pet going there he would recommend to do some lab work and scans before they do anything else.
those things aren't cheap dry.gif shakehead.gif

QUOTE(mt24 @ Dec 1 2015, 09:47 PM)
So i went to upm this afternoon to treat a cat with telur out of its skin and limping leg.
After waiting for my turn in about 2 hours, i was called to meet the vet.
Upon physical diagnosis completed, the vet came with the treatment quotation of rm700+ and the treatment can be done only next week due to the operation room are fully booked. I was quite shocked with the quotation and somemore I can't wait for that long since that cat telur started to smell bad already and i need it to be removed fast (actually it just a castration procedure). The limping leg is confirmed not a broken leg and just need some medication to reduce the swollen.
So i thanked the vet, paid for consultation fees and some antibiotics for my cat. Then i brought my cat to private vet to see if they can remove the cat's telur. The private vet said the cost should be less than rm150.
I thank God and the cat now with private vet for his procedure tomorrow.

you can share with us which vet you went to after UPM?
private vet's for me have two types nowadays:

1. so called "professional" vet's when you check-in they will recommend to do blood work and scans (by the staff) before physical examination by the vet himself, usually such places charge alot of money because of the extra procedure involved and the vet himself doesn't seem so experienced just diagnose base on the physical examination, blood work and scans information.

2. experienced vets that can do an accurate diagnosis by examination alone and don't recommend to do many other things to stress out the animal unless absolutely needed.

personally i have been to (1) and after he cannot solve the case recommended me to (2), i've continued with (2) from then on eventhough he is a little out of the way.

the vet name is mesra vet at bangi seksyen 7.

UPM seems no 1. Blood test alone cost me rm100 that i felt it is unnecessary.
i have been to no 1, for a leg wound treatment cost me >rm900 and the wound did not heal well. various blood test done and various antibiotics applied with negative results
at the end i cured the wound with raw honey only. the wound dried after 1 day applied.

i hope mesra vet is not no 1 vet. I havent tried them before and this is my first time.

hi all,

can any one recommend me a vet that is specialized in treating skin condition ?

my poor boy is having really red itchy skin. he is constantly nibbling and scratching, tried many medicated shampoo and the vet near my area has no clue in treating him, just gave him medication to reduce the itch but not treating it properly.
*
so far as i know vets are everything can do, no specialization unlike human doctors.

+1
most of the vets are either simply diagnosed or simply charge.
my dog has a slip disc problem, any good Vet to recommend in Ampang / Cheras area?
been to Segar Vet but they said it's incurable. was thinking to go to Gasing Vet Hospital and after reading the reviews in FB seems it's not very recommendable.
please help.

Hi, first time dog owner here. Just adopted a 4 month old mixed retriever, looking for vets around klang, preferably the Bandar Botanic/Bukit Tinggi area.

I saw a few on this list that suit my needs, but I'm curious as to whether anyone has gone to Claws Veterinary Clinic before? I've passed it on my way to work, and it's ridiculously close to my house. I was hoping it's good for the convenience factor. Any feedback? Or if someone can help me choose between the options in Bukit Tinggi (Wee Animal Clinic and Bukit Tinggi Animal Clinic, or Thomas Animal Clinic and Pets Corner in Chi Liung is my farthest point), I'd be very grateful  smile.gif

never been there
only been to the one at kk
instead of waiting for something wrong only go visit the vet
bring your pup for a check-up/consultation to see if it needs any shots
u can judge the vet from this yourself

Well i just figured out spca klinik kembiri at ampang.

This klinik is not for u to treat any cat/dog illness but it is for vaccination and spaying only.

My girl cat will do spaying there with the cost of rm90 per cat. If u want to add in vaccine, can add rm30 for 1 time vaccination.
For a boy cat will cost u rm70 spaying only.

It is relatively very cheap to spay /vaccine them in comparison with outside that cost from rm120 above for spaying only.

Some more the receipt u obtain is tax exempted. That the value add point for this in the same time can help this center doing good deed keep stray healthy and happy.
*
it is a good effort as SPCA is trying to control the stray population.
