Hi, I just wanna voice out something about this vet:
St Angel No. 56, Jln Bandar 13, Pusat Bandar Puchong, 47100 Puchong, Selangor Phone : 03-5891 1884 Less than a year ago my friend bought a rabbit and left it in my house coz he's staying at the hostels so couldn't rare pets there, but he kept coming over to take care of his pet rabbit. Soon, we found out that the rabbit was having diarrhea. We sensed something bad was happening to it, so after browsing through this thread for recommended vet clinics, then we found St Angel and went there to treat the rabbit. The vet said everything was fine. So, okay. Didn't even give medicine or anything. Then we brought the rabbit back. That night it kept having diarrhea again like mad. The next morning all that remained was a dead body. So, what do you guys think? Now my house has a new kitten. I wanna bring it for vaccination in a few weeks time. The closest vet to my place is probably St. Angel. Is it still recommended that I go there? This post has been edited by randytsx: Mar 30 2011, 07:04 AM |

QUOTE(FriedChicken @ Sep 28 2010, 11:36 AM) Hi all, You know what, this Dr Teoh is originally from your so called " Horrible segar Vet " . He worked there many years. : Ithere's one really good vet that is not in the list.. i gave up on the horrible segar vet near leisure mall. and found this really good one at Pandan Indah. Doctor very detail and follows up personally on your pet. Teoh Animal Clinic No. 4-G, jalan perubatan 4, pandan indah tel/fax : 03-42920610 Added on April 6, 2011, 12:34 am QUOTE(angeline84ng @ Dec 28 2008, 06:45 AM) Sashan, sorry to hear bout ur story. Well, i had a similar experience. Well, my baby girl was fine. She still eats and run around. I recall reading bout dogs, if they still eat and drink, they are still in the OK state. My baby girl. A female Shih Tzu (Her name is Keiki). Like any other owner, i love my baby. She started drooling, alot but she still eat and drink and run around with my baby boy..Well, this vet of hers, knows nothing, do alot of test..and just feed her vitamin. If i know he is like that, i would have just kept her with me and be with her till last minute. He said she needs to be hospitalized. I left her with him. With a heavy heart. First thing in the morning, my sister called the vet. She was informed "Oh, ur dog, she is dead". That was all. Cruel!! They don't even bother to call me to tell. Well, i gather up my courage and go there 2 hours later. Surprisingly, my baby's body is still warm. I strongly believed she just passed away. What vet can have no heart at all? The only thing the vet told me was she poop blood. Well, i saw the blood on the blanket i left my baby girl with but the amount was so minor that you wont believe its the cause of her death. My baby boy stayed away from me when i brought my girl back home to be buried. Long after, i verified my suspicion that the vet was no good. I went to a nearby petshop and was told horrible stories about other owners experience. Apparently, this vet's major was fish. Not dogs. How did they get their license? Without knowing, my housemate sent her rabbit to the same vet for grooming. Well, while grooming, he skin got cut. Pity the rabbit and my friend. Its a vet in Seri Kembangan. Well, there's not many there. So, easy to identify which it is... For your information, vets from UPM automatically get their license when they apply for it , as long they are registered with the Department of Veteterinary Services. It does not matter what they specialized in. However, the things they study include cats, dogs, cattle, pig , chicken and fish . This post has been edited by fanfankwok: Apr 6 2011, 12:34 AM |

Hi everyone,
I wish to know if anyone could tell me any doctor who can really treat Guinea Pigs very well here? The sickness is quite severe, I think it's internal problem. He is very2 weak now, he could not eat or drink by himself, have to feed him using syringe.. He has lost appetite too. I'm currently at Subang. I plan to bring him this weekend to this hospital: http://www.animalhospital.com.my/ But would like to hear your recommendation also. Please help! =============================================================== Some history. I've been to vets for several times already. Dr. Yeoh's clinic in Taman Megah was one of the place I went before, but that was due to different reason.. (my GP's ear had minor white spots). When I went there, they said Dr. Yeoh just went back, and asked the interns to take care instead. I was so worried I just brought him there, and sadly the interns just gave me some white cream which end up causing my GP to became more itchy and keep scratching at his ear until it bleeds. I stopped applying the cream and weeks later, it recover by itself after I applied with my own traditional meds. I was so disappointed that time. I also went to visit Dr.Vellayan (near Zoo Negara).. He gave me few powder meds, but somehow my GP is not getting any better now. I dunno what else to do, and thinking to bring him straight to hospital regardless of how much the bill costs. I'm still in the midst of going through each page of the forum here, need time to go through all to find some info for emergency situation like this. He has been dealing with it for a week already, if he's strong enough to stay alive, I should be strong enough and put my highest effort and continue to find the best treatment for him. Additional note: I don't know what happened to him, the day before he was perfectly healthy, and the next day he was just lying around at one corner, was not able to even stand with his own feet. Not about food, because I provided the normal routine. Probably some genetic diseases, I don't know. I need to find place where at least they can do x-ray or things like that. Quarantine also is better. Thanks in advance and truly appreciated for any feedback. |

QUOTE(shukri77 @ Sep 27 2010, 11:11 AM) today's The Star reportd that there is a vet who allow his wife to treat a dog and the wife give wrong prescriptn. I wonder why there is no action taken by authorities. Next time i see vet have to ask about their qualificatn. One of such vets is :KLINIK HAIWAN LIM 2, LORONG SEPAKAT 4, TAMAN BANDAR JAYA, BUKIT MERTAJAM 14000 PULAU PINANG Tel No: 03-5394998 Fax No: 04-5511934 I went there with my dog and hubby on a Sunday in 2009. My toy poodle (2.5yrs old) was very sick (later found out he was dying due to accidental poisoning). We were not familiar at all with the vet, but it was the only clinic we could find open on a Sunday, and our dog needed immediate medical attention, so we had no choice but to go. We reached there to be greeted by a woman wearing the typical doctor's white vest, maybe to give the impression that she was the *real* vet. We explained that our dog had been vomiting the whole night, not eating since the day before and couldn't keep any water in at all. He was obviously dehydrated and so weak that he could not even sit; he just lay on the table. She took everything very lightly, pressed his stomach a bit and confidently diagnosed him with having a (stomach) bacterial infection. She gave him a jab between the shoulder blades, some vitamins, antibiotics and supplemental iron thinking he was anaemic. (He had pale gums and tongue due to the poisoning.) Throughout the process she acted like she was a real vet - confidently prescribing medication and even administering injection. At the end of it, then only she admitted that it was actually her husband's clinic. We were like WTH, but it was all too late by then. My dog passed away as soon as we reached home, half an hour later. I know I should have made a report to the authorities about her, but I was too distraught for many many months to think of anything else. I don't know whether the injection she gave actually killed my dog faster, or that his condition was really hopeless - I really don't know. But if she had been a real qualified vet (instead of merely learning from watching her husband), she would have been able to see the signs and symptoms of a poisoning better and could have administered the correct treatment, and *maybe* my dog could have been saved. Until now I sometimes still wonder if she had actually killed my beloved baby. This is a WARNING especially to those living in Bukit Mertajam area. KLINIK HAIWAN LIM 2, LORONG SEPAKAT 4, TAMAN BANDAR JAYA, BUKIT MERTAJAM 14000 PULAU PINANG Tel No: 03-5394998 Fax No: 04-5511934 * NEVER let the wife treat your sick pets whatever the case is !! She is NOT a licensed vet !! Your sick pets may just die like mine. * |
