jimmyyap03:
i) if u ask any of us here, we sure tell u, get sony flash, dont spend money on 3rd party, few month later u get tired of the inconsistency and damn troublesome to use, eventually u will come back here and ask... "where to get the cheapest F43?".... just skip to F43. save the troublesome journey.

ii) macro 1:1 just MF to the max 1:1 then adjust ur camera distance until subject is in focus.
actually, most macro shooter dont exactly shoot at 1:1, most of use shoot at desire "DOF"...

steve88, zstam, mastering89: there is a overwrite setting inside the flash, where it allows manual flash in PAS mode. usually its disable and auto goes back to TTL/ADI when detected the camera is on PAS mode.

hard is thicker and seem more scratch resistant... will have spacing in the middle* like pocket of air... it only sticks at corner of the SP... downside is how it react on daytime, the reflection of sky is stronger (not as if i check with LCD when i have EVF)

soft is just thin film like normal SP lo~ but tough resistant to scratch also compare to those rm10 phone sticker.

welcome to the big boys toy tsuna99... honestly im not sure you made the right choice or a terrible mistake... by misunderstood the term 'going fullframe'

yes, FF is great, they are like the top ranges of DSLRs... but knowing that going FF is like buying the best BMW, the 'upkeep cost' or 'accessory' cost went up... u went into this field without basically knowing bout it first might make u suffer. especially when u realized that your nex has better iso then your A900 (5 year old technology), FF lens cost 2-3 times then your nex/crop lenses~ cry.gif

right now the best we can help is to lead and guide you when you have question or comments on your photo/shooting learning curve. smile.gif

my advise, go 57. save the extra cash for lens or flash upgrades later... or save it until u feel pro enough, 99 terus... skip 77. no matter how much 'excuse' people will tell u that they can accept 77 noise... A57 is obvious more iso approachable at 3200 anytime. im not only talking bout night shooting, but daytime when i need iso3200 for birding, the way the NR works on 77's sufficient light, the noise is still too much compare to A57 16mp.

what 77 outweigh the 57 is,
i) controls, anyone will love 2 dails, joystick for AF point controls(57 require press middle DPad AF button to go in AF selection), extra customizable buttons.
ii) AF illuminator allows really Low Light AF to shoot lowlight mood effect. not to mention 11 cross point... it does make a huge diff vs 3crosspoint A57
iii) choice of opt. Body Grip...

A57, outweigh in ISO and price tag. nuff said.

vs other brands, peaking, SSS, MFNR, auto HDR..... countless...

honestly, the evf, i have both evf on hand, i dont see any differences... really!

the LCD, yea thats a plus, but not a major game changer....

those 2 point i leave it out because its not a big deal towards 'taking a photo' compare to the need of better controls and button, ability to shoot in really low light.

there's a big difference for me. in terms of clarity and details. and then u have the a99's EVF which is slightly better than a77. and for me i use iso3200 all the time eventhough people claim its a tad worse than the a57. but how are those people comparing anyway? at full resolution?
*
the A99 EVF is exactly the same from A77. nothing improve. if u say the camera body response, yea, it doesnt delay so much switching to EVF, another thing is, due to A99 sensor is so much cleaner at iso3200 (and 6400! vs 77's 1600), the evf feed from A99 is much 'cleaner' then the noisy A77 sensor feed to EVF. this one u ask gouki GF, when looked into Soket's A77 iso1600 EVF, she ask, why more noise then the A99 (iso was set to iso6400)...

so how can 77 evf is better when u get more 'noise' tongue.gif so in the end its damn subjective arguement which evf is better because by spec, the OLED 2.4mp EVF sound better but it still relies on the "Sensor" to feed the 'details'.... so in other word, the 77 is feeding more noise then details at night.... when comparing day time iso100-800, well, enough light, the sensor will always feed enough details.

here another facts,
the A57 EVF when shooting at iso3200, is cleaner then A77 EVF at iso3200(output is obvious better too viewed "fit to fullHD 24inch screen")). then, i seriously prefer to look into A57 evf at night then A77. because the 77 clarity is so good, it just show how many noise you can see (u can actually count them! so crisp sharp and detailed noise)

8tvt: congrats! on 31st of dec for a 3rd child! then now u have better reason to celebrate 31 dec! wakakakaka

anyway, sometime each people has own point of view, and sometimes we make mistake by saying thing we thought we know but the fact we didnt know that we dont know. anyhow, there is many people who tries to correct us, at least we get guide back to the right info..... else, we might continue to misguide ppl too sweat.gif

Green box = auto mode.  rclxub.gif
What I'm trying to convey is that if some newbie don't know what is PASM, just shoot in auto.
No need act pro use M and end up with unusable photo. laugh.gif

A question for DSLT users, usually how many shots you get out of 100% battery charge?

Wanna compare to those DSLR. smile.gif
*
depend... range from 100 pic to 2k pic from the same single battery. but diff body thou, it was the A57 that hit 2k pictures... the A580 did hit 1.8k pic once... so it depends on how you shot.

During my trip to japan, whole day, average 1k pic, i used only 1 and half battery on A99.

the diff of 16-18 on landscape or general wont makes any diff...

BUT,

on dinning table/banquet table, 16 vs 18 is able to take the whole table(group) or not from high angle with your hand put max up.

hi guys...

got some question on ND filters...

Hoya HMC ND400 vs B+W ND3.0...which one is better?

i heard review about the B+W ND are bad...but the price also more exp...is it true?
*
B+W ND400 u mean? ND3.0 (usually) means 9 stops, the ND400(general term) means 4/5 stops. there is B+W ND2.0 which is 6 stops.

B+W are expensive, but the coating are very easy to clean, and dust dont stick on them. term of quality, as long as filter doesnt attract dust, definately give u better edge. i use LEE, and they are not scratch resistant and prone to dust... annoying, but easy to setup

those ring filter, u need to set focus, lock, release to MF, (or use hyperfocusing technique with F11/16), check exposure, put on filter (dependence of condition of exposure, LiveView May just show black screen), set +number of stop to exposure. snap, check exposure, set again till desire effect. which take a long time...
