Wanna ask is A57 for RM2.1K a good buy? Comes with 18-55 kit lens..

And is it true that A57 and A37 gonna be discontinued soon? This is what the sales staff in HN told me..
*
grab the 18-135 package. that lens is much better and will last for sometime before the urge of upgrading. if u grab the 1855, no need 2 month, u start urging for upgrades.

eventually will be discontinued. but i think its still far away. A57 is hardly a year old yet.

8tvt, what do u mean no more DSLT? there will be, prehaps end of the year? but i think A37 will be replace soon, since the 37 out around last year feb... but 57 is around july if i recall.

the CA is auto for all lens, only distortion correction require lens profile and i turn it off anyway(it does slow the camera down), luckily i dont have pixel peeper in my fb to check my photo for lens distortion....

my advise, avoid A380. its not that bad,... just not everyone can understand that camera... it may cause frustration more then enjoyment...

Jim, from a smaller lens thread to a Bigger filter thread, step up
(because u wan mount a bigger filter) so its up up up up up. when we mention from 72 to 77.

77 to 72 means, ur lens is 77, then u wanna use 72mm filter.

mastering89: u need to play with your camera more~ >.< impossible u didnt know bout "Live View Display: Setting Effect"
A33/55 is the only DSLT that doesnt has LVD:SE. and all NEX before Nex7(i think)

and the stratos, do u mean the trigger when to sleep or the flash?
i never knew my trigger can goes into sleep mode. on the flash, F42 can set the duration before it sleep. usually i set the Flash to WL mode, it will ignore WL sync anyway, since there is a 'trigger knob' wasnt triggered, but in WL mode, the Sleep timer is a lot longer, and it still fires like normal manual flash.
usually if my flash does goes to sleep, i simply press my WL trigger transmitter, and the signal to the receiver will wake up the flash. (strato)

didnt like aputure from day1 it came out.

8tvt: its QLV< quick live view was the phrase.

try check with your mobile, most smartphone today has very good color accuracy.... but if u still cant see the differences, then you need to start train the eye.

a good whitebalance means the color tint/tone of the photo are gentle to the eye. (and yes, even intended warmer/cooler photo also will look good)
hope u dont mind, i took your photo and did a color balancing and put it side by side to help u see the differences.

i saw all his pic using that theme.. so becoming standard to his eyes..
so the pic should be judged by owner or others?
*
Art (including photography) is a very very very subjective thing. Not all art, are appreciated... Not all art, are prefect. Sometimes, creator didn't realizes what/where went wrong until someone point them out(if there is something wrong)

in photography world, 90% users wouldnt know what is WB.... And used the WB in a wrong way. But if the user manage to pull it off using a wrong WB, able to captured the hearts of the audience, that's good. If not, its bad.

"Judging", if u have intended to create a theme, its it good to have feedback regard the theme you are using? Or no feedback at all? But then, again its very subjective and important if its being judge, it has to be judged by the right person for the job. You don't pass a photo to be judge by a singing judge, or ask a photographer to be judge for a singing competition. smile.gif

yea, the 1750 will have vignetting when u go wide (from my memory, yes i had that combo). it will be best used on the 'tamron' 70300 smile.gif... not tested on 70300G...

if u understand lens characteristic, wide angle means the angle of projection from the first glass on ur lens is angled outwards, that why it will capture your hand if u put on the side of the lens hood. so the macro adapter definitely will be in the way when u shoot wider then 35mm. at 50mm its fine smile.gif
