cyh, this is what all beginner will face. slowly you will learn how to focus and 'what' to focus. all AF system perform less effective with sufficient light. (thats where flash AF illuminator comes in handy!)
all focusing system is design to detect on contrast-y surface~ so u have to find something "contrast" for the AF to lock on. then next, u will learn how to "see" the plane of DOF, where u know by pointing at area B, the area A will be in focus too~. so not necessary you need to point at A to be in focus. |

goldfries... its hard to say, you should know, EVF wins at some points, loses some points. there is situation where u wish it was a EVF and when u wish it was OVF.
i would say the current EVF is near mature compare to those evf 5 years back, even compare to the A55, the A57 has improved drastically in RGB tearing/refresh and lowlight feed. in fact, EVF works best at night compare to daytime |

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Feb 20 2013, 10:26 PM) anyone got experience bringing camera bag with 3 lenses/flash/camera along with laptop as handcarry in Emirates flight?? i think i read this somewhere... also due to i fly very often with camera+laptop bag.economy/business/airasia flyer allows One hand Baggage not more then 8kg. additional of One LaptopBag OR One Professional Camera/vid Bag. (aka electronic device bag) *airasia case, the hand baggage+laptop/camera bag are not allowed total over 10kg* (warning from Airasia Japan, when i was carrying a 6kg camera bag + 5kg hand carry) first class allow Two hand Baggage total not more then 15kg, + One laptopbag AND + One professional Camera bag. |

lol, i did that many times... except airasia lcct, they keep looking at u if u carry the camera once u ready to shoot, they come over bising...(i guess it applies to lcct coz the only terminal u need to walk to your plane -____-)... but klia is the 'arm-walkway' thingie, u wont get to walk on tarmac,... so i doubt got issue with emirates since u board them with the 'arm-walkway' thingie

i still dont get it. tokina and tamron A mount is easy to find, its not that rare as u think so. infact, sony 2nd hand is plentiful in the market too. interkrome, u might misunderstood that sony lens is hard to find, or some 'knowledge-less' guy tried to brainwash u.
with sony system, DSLR/T lens, let it be FF or for APS-C lens, it can be used with APS-C or FF body with NO problem. its only Canon that the APS-C lens (EF-S) cant be used on their FF system. and for you to 'cross-mounting'... its pretty much pointless, waste of money, and the lens ability... unless is precious old gem like leica or zeiss. |
