substantial amount of horsepower also need substantial amount of tarmac to fully put them down la.

sometimes it is not about how much power you have but rather, how much power you can put effectively on the ground.

The same reason why the century sprint is not an absolute measure of a car's performance.

Actually the Bugatti was going faster than the GTR at the quarter mile and 1 mile point. If the track was longer by another mile, maybe the Bugatti would've smoked the GTR.

Yes, the sponge fillep up there.

There is a drain hole below the airbox.

Added on December 31, 2012, 6:02 pm

that hole is nothing to do with engine heat release. It purely act as aircon intake vent whenw e choose air circulation from outside. about the problem is the design let alot of dirty air aka smell from outside even we choose internal circulation. I have no choice but seal it with sponge, if not effective, i will just seal with insufflex next time.
*
I was thinking to seal the flaps behind the dashboard. However, it is more difficult due to access restriction. I am worried that the water collected by the sponge will promote mouldy smell in the car during this rainy season.

just DIY seal the aircon intake vent by sponge. Imagine it act as external air filter.

great idea thumbup.gif

why my aircond sometimes become smelly, like someone fart.
is it because of something stucked in the aircond intake?

I suspect something in the ducting. I was in my friends car, the aircond smell like tikus mati, but only during first blow of the aircond.

My car unfrtunately also starts to show the same sympton. icon_question.gif

Not easy to open it. You need to open total 6 clips before can remove the plastic grating, and 4 of them need to break it and replace with new one, make sure u get the new clip before u break it. Good luck.
