i think the recent 'promo' which limits to SEA pretty much sums it all, doubt we will be able to get any 50% business class ticket to europe come year end or worse we might not see MAS anymore

sadly with the easiest way to earn pts here in Malaysia you only have the option of MAS and SIA.

QUOTE(PJusa @ Sep 4 2014, 05:03 PM) is this across board. wanted to convert alliance pts into all family accounts today to book some business class tickets to europe. and surprise surprise all of a sudden cant be done anymore. 2 yrs ago i did it and no problem can get the miles to any account. we only use main and supp cards for convenience and now i have a huge amount of miles which i can only dump in the main account holders account - just to transfer them afterwards and having to PAY for it or use the main holders enricht account for redemption (rendering the odd 50k miles in the accounts almost useless). i am pretty pissed. which card offers good points to miles (and if possible some cashback) for a turnover of approx. 100-120,000 RM p.a. on the card? Maybank 2 Premier 5x pts for any spending on Amex 2x pts for local spending with Visa, 5x pts for oversea spending with visa conversion at 4300 pts to 1000 Enrich Miles

QUOTE(PJusa @ Sep 5 2014, 11:27 AM) thanks - i called maybank and they told me i can only transfer into primary account holder's enrich account also. most of my spending is local - would i be able to pay with amex as easily as with visa? then it would be an interesting option. anyone can share their experience? i manage to spend like 80% with Amex living in KV. Even if you are using the Visa I don't think any other card offer more than 2x points and have better conversion rate to EM than this Maybank.

QUOTE(DRBS @ Sep 26 2014, 12:11 AM) My apologies. I am sure this has been asked before, but I found it difficult to get any answer. I have accumulated quite a bit of enrich points but never redeemed it before. Is it more cost effective to redeem for upgrades to business class or for redemption of economy tickets? Though I enjoy business class a lot when I travel alone, I do plan to take my young children to UK one day and I am thinking that getting them business class is probably too indulgent. What do you guys think? it is only worthwhile to claim business class to Europe / NZ.

QUOTE(gg8989 @ Oct 1 2014, 12:09 PM) is it worth to redeem to Osaka? not the 'most worthy' of place to redeem but if you can utilize the miles why not? i bought AA to nagoya 200/pax and plan to redeem business class osaka - kl. 34k miles without promo plus rm500.

QUOTE(negayem @ Oct 7 2014, 02:53 PM) Isn't it better to redeem (under current promotion) Adelaide return at 40k Enrich Miles? Fly domestic to Melbourne and back again to Adelaide for return flight to KUL. i think it is the same, 20k/way is promo while 34k/way is standard miles required.

QUOTE(tssoo @ Oct 7 2014, 05:02 PM) I just called Malaysia airlines to check about the surcharges and taxes for KUL-London-KUL. Charges now is RM1562. As per the official the surcharge and taxes to london is change day by day...Does anyone redeem this trip before? RM1562 consider expensive or cheap? My trip depart on 18 dec 2014. The charge at london is a killer, you can land any Europe destination it will cost the same but fly back from Paris it will be cheaper. (assuming you want to be on A380) Cheapest would be Amsterdam but they're using 777 on that route. QUOTE(bearbear @ Mar 20 2014, 03:39 PM) bro MAS use A380 for both Paris and London, 777-200 for Amsterdam and Frankfurt. I play a little with the system with business class; seems like to all 4 europe destination if you buy 1 way ticket from KL to respective destinations the tax is flat at RM740. The difference is coming back 1. London - 352.25 GBP 2. Paris - 235.54 EURO 3. Frankfurt - 222.69 EURO 4. Amsterdam - 171.70 EURO So it doesn't matter where you fly into but get out from Amsterdam for cheapest tax at RM15xx. or if you insist A380 the best is return ticket via Paris Rm18xx This post has been edited by bearbear: Oct 7 2014, 06:21 PM

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jan 7 2015, 06:16 PM) Yah Melbourne only 30% and Brisbane 40% Too bad I have bought my tickets until mid this year. But then again, even if I had not bought my tickets to Melbourne, I would still not redeem with the 30% discount as I am saving my Enrich Miles for Europe next year Question is - next year still got Enrich Miles Program? hahahaha i bought one way AA to Nagoya, seems like have to redeem Osaka - KUL in full miles. So happy this morning saw this on FB thought it's their yearly 50% promo then can buy at 10am sharp somemore 300 cash back, mana tau EM should be there la, more likely lesser and lesser miles promo 2013 redeem 10% more miles promo also didn't repeat
