which mean if fly from subang. nearest, have to fly to langkawi which is 253miles in order to qualify for 1 sector.am i correct?

also what does it mean by guaranteed elite miles?
does it mean, if fly within malaysia, say subang to langkawi, the elite sector is earn is 1 elite sector and elite miles is 500 ?

another question,
example company do reservation for me as economy flight,
during check in, i want to upgrade to gold class, and i pay for the excess.
can it be done that way? is it worth?

or during check in, request for a different class. is it do-able?

You can try the MHUpgrade bidding on their website weeks before departure, or by requesting for last minute upgrade at the airport ticketing counter to check if there's a business class seat available, but the latter doesn't guarantee you to get biz class catering on board.

Yes, during check-in, you can request to paid-upgrade on the spot or you can use MHUpgrade Bid online at MH website. The Latter option is better. The bid option closed 48hours before your flight departure time. Normally i will check on the website 3-4 days before, see any business class left on the specific data and time of the flight i booked. If there is 3-4 business seats left, means you got high chances seal the bid. Domestic flight usually left alot empty business class seat.

But the downside was, you ONLY able to earn elite miles and elite sector base on your original economy class fare, not the upgraded business class fare.

Now we can't see how much enrich miles are needed when make the booking. The system force you to click through then only show you how much miles you need to use for redemption, it's not a good idea!

i have just check with MAS. according to them, Miles redemption icon is temporary disabled due to webpage upgrading. Once webpage is upgraded, miles redemption function will be available.

Can I know any possibility will have promotion / % discount on mile redemptions in coming months? :-)
