I have no battery issues with Monx rom n perseus kernel 29
Same as before. Battery drain overnight 7-8 hours with 3g on n active fb, tweeter feeds is only 2-3%
Infact similar pattern in all the roms I have tested
Battery life is never a issue unlike note where I need to tinker with kernels n setcpu

I was on monx+Perseus somehow it still drained my battery.

Now on monx+Pil merah. Let's see, so far it only dropped 1% since I flashed. Will continue monitoring.

I'm assuming you're trying to transfer a photo or a file to the One X and all the necessary settings are enabled.

Short answer, it's normal but it shouldn't be.

Long answer: Here's the thing, NFC is a slow speed protocol which is not fast enough to transfer a file. That's why Google came out with Android Beam while Samsung came out with S-Beam. These two beams are utilizing NFC to initiate transfer connection and pair the two devices together. After that it does the transferring over with Bluetooth in case of Android Beam and with Wifi Direct in case of S-Beam.

The problem is, these two beams do not work with each other. You can either do NFC beam between two Samsung devices or between two other Android devices.

This, IMHO is a disappointment.

Added on December 22, 2012, 10:02 pmMonx rom with current kernel i am using there is no battery drain. Normal batt usage can last 6 hrs screen on time like before. So i believe the drain some experience is due to some rogue app or the stock kernel got some problem.

is it hard to swap sd card to internal memory without rooting?

i remember there were some who said there are 2 ways to do that? one requires root and the other doesn't need root? Does that mean there is only one way which is to root?

So far monx + RedPill has been treating me quite good. At least it kinda normalize my battery situation a bit.

Though it is not as good as stock but at least much better than when I was on monx only or monx + Perseus.

This is the case for me, might not be the same for others.

If it works well, will help my sister on her Note 2 as well. She's still on 4.1.1, definitely will update for her to 4.1.2 but the question is monx or not.
