I got tensed up and pushed it harder, it then ejected sweat.gif

now backing up to format to fat32. just now I tried to take it iut from the sdcard adapter supplied by sandisk, and it wasnt coming out doh.gif

so for adapter also push and eject? hmm.gif

something tells me its not the same sweat.gif

It's called a "push-push" slot. Push to go in, Push to go out via the spring load action. The other type is "push-pull" I think, no spring.

I think the FM radio frequency will be conflicting with the LTE, so they take out the FM radio function from the LTE version.

Likely no space on the circuit board or the chip silicon for the FM radio. LTE is a power hog, and probably a space hog as well.

OK, then that should be fine. Not sure what has gone wrong, for both backups I have done. Different dates' backup.
Both stuck at md5 error. sweat.gif

Thanks guys, this is a huge enlightenment to me!

*Downloading my Monx ROM now. Can't wait to try out. rclxm9.gif

Technical answer: MD5 is a computed checksum that is supposedly a unique signature for each file. Therefore if you have LOTS of files or LARGE files or BOTH, it will take time to compute and compare.
Bootnote: MD5 has been cracked and is no longer securely unique, but for purposes of file verification it is still usable.

So since GN2 Nandroids are very large, it will certainly take a long time. Patience, padawan.

I had a chat with a colleague today about fruit and Android. She is a DEVELOPER for ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS (ie big iron stuff) and she got an ipon5. So I said I'd never get a fruit device due to the closed ecosystem and digital handcuffs. She replied she got it so that she doesn't need to think and will just follow whatever the app does.

So, for people who don't want to think about their device or fiddle, they get fruit. We love the wonder of exploration rclxm9.gif hooray Android.

There was some post about using your old smartphones as a headless ftp or media server. I'm sure that will be some brain-flexing exercise involved to keep dementia away....

Wanna ask, anyone encountered problems with battery charging? Lately my note charges really slow, it can take up to 8 hours to be fully charged. I've got my charger replaced twice, and the samsung service personnel said it could be some overcharging problem. Is there such a thing? I've never overcharged  my phone before, will unplug as soon as it reaches 100%. And it's only 1 month old T_____T
*
Using original cable and charger? Forumers have reported long charge times using poor quality cables.

If you are using everything original, then have your phone checked.

Since Samsung has shown us the teardown, why don't they do a promo stunt and perform the 23 storey drop test with an Otterbox Defender like that youtube video....even if it's 6 floors, it should prove well enough for both Otterbox AND Note2.

wana ask all d sifu here...
i plan to change from S3 to Note 2 here...
main reason is because of the battery life of S3 is kinda short...
i'm a heavy user of surfing net using data line...
i would like to know how long extra for the note 2 will last compare to S3...?
escially surfing net with data line...
not wifi...
thx in advance...

Most people here get about 5 hours of SCREEN ON TIME which means 1 whole business day of use at least unless you are sitting down for 5 hours straight surfing.

For light use I can stretch up to 2 whole days with about 2-3 hours screen on time.

I think your phone needs checking. Could be the charging board in the phone is faulty and only detects USB.

When tibu backs up, it creates 3 files for 1 app....1 is a control file. If you deleted the control file, tibu cannot see your app anymore....happened to me once.

Simple solution is not to use the phone as a banking device until we are all certain of the device's security. I don't do my banking on my phone or home Windows pc. I use my linux pc to do banking or my super secure office notebook.

About our little friend's post on "most malware" etc, it's more to user error IMHO.

Got a Scratched iPhone 5 Right Out of the Box? Apple Says No Warranty for You

When the iPhone 5 first made it to the hands of owners, several were shocked to discover that their pride and joy came out of the box with a variety of scuffs, scrapes and dings.
...........
Blogger LiewCF checked with Maxis for clarification if Apple would replace scratched iPhone 5. Maxis’ reponse was a perplexing one. The operator claimed that it checked with Apple and iPhones that come scratched out of the box are “not categorized as a defect” and will not be replaced.

We called up Apple care to get more information and their response was just as disappointing. In Malaysia, if you purchased an iPhone and its defective, you will have to take your claims for a replacement with the retailer that you bought the device with and not with Apple. It is up to the retailer to replace your defective unit.

Might it be more services running in the background? Would the ink effect lock screen consume more processing power? Nice effect though.
