The politically correct term for such crazies (oops not PC)...is "severely socially maladjusted individuals"
PC lexicon does lend itself to absurdities hahaha

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Dec 27 2012, 10:16 PM)
Actually , it find its not just note2 or android but more of a way of life . U dont know anything and have no clue . U failed to find a solution that suits you regardless of many attempts . U asked for help . Someone offered you a solution . It might not be what u expect but at least take a look at it . At least it's something better than nothing . U dont thank the person by saying " hey , this is not the solution I want  " . End of the day , they don't owe u to help u find a solution and neither r they paid . A simple thank you will be so much appreciated even if u find the solution useless to u .

Sorry , in a nagging mood tonight  sad.gif

For some (myself included), facing the PC for LEISURE is a time of relaxing. smile.gif

Anyway....Common sense???

This is what compliance and PC (Political Correctness) has done to some nations.

hey... see this... superb slim phone Galaxy S4... including lazer keyboard.. .maybe note 3 will have this features too

Well might be fake haha

It's a mockup. However, I seriously think if it gets too thin, too many FEATURE tradeoffs will be made. I would rather have some thickness with +++ features than anorexia with --features.

Ever seen pics of anorexic chicks?

Woohoo....fully open bootloader may soon come our way......for S3 and Galaxy Camera now, but Note2 is on the same platform..UNBRICKABLE rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

http://www.xda-developers.com/android/revo...-galaxy-camera/

Revolutionary SD Card Bootloader Released for Galaxy S III, Galaxy Camera

......
What’s this mean? We can now work INSIDE the Samsung TrustZone on production devices! This means some serious debugging of bootloaders is possible. What does this REALLY mean? It means that not only do we have a way to get away from Samsung closed source bootloaders, but we can now boot TOTALLY from SDCard on the Galaxy Camera and the Galaxy S3…. What’s that mean? We can fix brick-bugged Galaxy S3 devices!

Anorexic chicks are certainly NOT nice to look at...

An anorexic-styled phone may be stopped from boarding as it may be used as a lethal weapon!!!! cool2.gif

I was also thinking of how it would feel in the hand. Stacking 3 credit cards together may give an indication.

And I'm VERY SURE there'll be lots of cases of oops in the back pocket cases.

Guys, just got my 1st android phone and im very new to this.

One quick ques- why does all the apk file i downloaded are so small in size ?

why is there some web having data file which are 300mb and some apk file 3mb

some apk file direct me to play store and hence not available

thanks
*
Coz you are used to seeing obese programs written for bloated operating systems made by some American companies (US has a VERY high level of uber-obesity) ?

Android is based on Linux, written by a very smart Swede (and Europeans are very fit looking compared to the US).

Seriously, you don't need 20mb just to write text to the screen.

Hi all. Friend dropped and cracked a Note 2 SME set. Checked phone self test all is cool but there's crack marks on the front screen which is a bummer.

Any recommendations on what to do or which place to go for repairs? Would be good to have an estimate of how much it costs as well.

For those curious: it was using a nilkin hard case. 3ft off the tar road.

Update: called up Samsung service center. Was quoted about rm600 ish including labor costs but need to put down for a week. Just leavingng this here for all who are in the same boat smile.gif

oh my... an omen since i'm using a nilkin hard case too..

go to service centres to have it repaired. some say, it costs between 450 - 650.
*
my very humble opinion.

form vs functionality. your case' primary function is to protect yr device. that seems to have been sacrificed at the altar of aestheticality (I made up this word) just to add color to yr phone back. I dont get why the so called hardcases almost all fail to cover the critical edges at the top and bottom. it shd provide all round cover and have a lip extending to the bezel of the screen like whst has been reported on the cruzerlite cases. otterbox ftw.

at my altar of cases, i actually just want to protect it from bumps and scratches, not cracks and smashes. Nillkin hardly covers the sexy parts of my phone and i like it that way. light, thin and not too grippy nor smooth.

i want to get the ultra flip because i had a bad dream last night.

i think with those leather-esque (I made this up so not to lose to you making up words) cases, it can absorb impacts better than the nilkin (which has an impact absorbancy (there i go again, i'm on fire) of 0 on a scale of 0 - 100) rclxub.gif
*
+1 leather-esque

0 absorbancy coz its a proper word and u mis-spelled it

QUOTE(Cynox @ Dec 28 2012, 10:40 AM)
i think it depends very much what do the users expect from the case.  I am using Nillkin hard case and i do not expect it to protect my Note II from drop test.  I keep it (originally only intended to get it for temporary use) mainly for its nice texture at the back, preventing scratch on the shiny back cover and lift the back camera lens to prevent scratch.  Add on a neoprene case when it is in my pocket to make sure not even a tiny specks of silica can get close to it.

those using hard case like Nillkin and expect it to protect their Note II in a drop test is having unrealistic expectation out the case.  Get a Otterbox or Case-mate Tough for drop test.
therein lies the rub. these are ALL MARKETED AS CASES. so nilkin is a back cover accessory and not a case. remember nokia xpress-on covers?

flip cases are cases although it still leaves the top n bottom edges exposed.

Trust a marketer? use yr own brain?

Please do not judge if you don't know the situation.... If you don't wan teach them just let it be.. Sincerely I'm asking someone who can tell me...just teach me here is that difficult? Type your few words only won't consume u much time.. Of course I really can't spend out the time to read the manual yet then only seek anyone can teach...truly disappointed seeing this kind of reply...may be u can say me lazy..yes...I am.... shakehead.gif
*
I did not judge I merely stated a logical proposition based on the known factors that
a. you spent time to look up this forum
b. your question woild hv required you to spend more time waiting for an answer and again reading this forum

so now since u spent some time writing a nice rebuttal....this means you do have the time to read and cogitate.

a quick google would have given you the satisfaction of an almost instant answer and increased understanding for yr own benefit instead of being disappointed in someone else' negative response.

many here do not take kindly to admissions of laziness.
