I'm on Perseus kernel, previously was ok, any idea how?

Hi All,

Just bought the SGN2 (White) from Harvey Norman Chitta Mall.
Cost me RM2299 + RM281 for 1+2 year extended warranty = RM2,580.

FOC - Sandisk 16gb Class10 + Original Samsung Car Charger.
Normal package was 8gb Class4 + Car Charger + Screen Protector

BUT since they didnt have the Screen Protector, they upgraded my card to 16gb

It occurs to me, all these extended warranty programs...
I would think after 18 months, Samsung would stop production, and perhaps keep parts for maybe another 12 months.

If you have a problem at that time, and Harvey/Senheng says they warranty it, how will they honor? Is there a clause that allows them to swap a unit for you AT MARKET PRICE OF THAT TIME (ie RM300 max?)or give you a new phone of EQUIVALENT PURCHASE PRICE (ie RM2299)?

I know in insurance they give you back some credit or cash of the then-market value, which basically sucks.... Anyone in the know of the fine print of extended warranties?

How about stock deodexed 4.1.2 by wanam? Not the wanamlite v2.1, the second one down there. I installed and it has everything u want, screen shot sound and chinese

500 ppl in the waiting list for Note 2 and it takes 2 weeks to only clear out 100 ppl

So anyone who bought extended warranties took a read of the fine print?

Anyway, I have restored back to 4.1.1 and I saw my Chinese. Yeahoo!
Then immediately upgraded to 4.1.2 (waiting now, God bless me)

for me those extended warranty is totally BS like what is thta video....

Now that u bring up the topic , let me share with u something I faced myself . Cant be sure of the so called " extended warranty " for phonesis the same but I got both my fans an extended warranty when I purchased it 2 1/2 years back from the green and red logo chainstore ( best not mentioned name but u guys r smart enough ) . A few months back , I went back there for a claim as 1 of the 2 units i bought , 1 of it died on me suddenly 1 day . After checking here and there which took them a week+ , found out the circuit board burnt and this model is no longer in production . Fair enough , it's been 2+ years . So what do I get ? A free repair ? Nope , no parts anymore as the company stopped production for this model . A choice to change to another model ? How I wish , even deducting 50% of my faulty unit off any retail units I would be happy ......... A refund in the extended warranty which I paid BUT not the exact amount . Only the refund for the remanding months that have yet 2 be covered . So basically , the extended warranty period burnt doesn't cover anything at all . And the amount I paid for was actually an "interest free loan" to the company . No wonder they have so many chains all around Msia . And yeah , it's in the fine print of the so called "warranty card" .

So before u guys decided to buy or purchase extended warranty , have a look at the fine print . Don't listen to what those sales ppl tell u , it's all BS cuz end of the day , they want the sales 4 commision and the 1 losing is u , not them .

Added on December 17, 2012, 9:33 pmDid u switch rom ? Some roms have volume boast slightly from default , some dont . It's hard 2 say or pin point exactly what is wrong but kernels don't normally effect volume sound unless there's a tweak for it and u done something to it . For example , audio settings is STweaks since u r using perseus .

nope, on stock rom, but I don't think I mess with the tweaks before.. dare not to simply touch it, maybe I should check into the STweaks, meanwhile, also reading some from xda and see if the mod to increase volume will do wonder for me. cheers mate.

i tune the headphones amplifier from 50db to 57db, being 63db the maximum. is this advisable?

the volume increase quite significantly. I'm just afraid that it might destroy the speaker in the long run...

yup, thats the link I read.

Sorry, I was complaining about the fm radio volume is too soft, so I think I got it right by tweaking the headphones amplifier only from 50db to 5db. this is good enough for me, thanks.

but on the other hand, I tried copied the second file "Volume.db to system/etc to disable boot sound and camera sounds"

i copied into the system/etc, but the camera sound is still there after rebooted. hmmm.... how should I do this ar.

Maybe you should try harder. I walk whole kl and found two maxis got stock.

They are just delaying supply to make note 2 price High for Samsung = profit

And why would maxis help samsung profit.
