i read from xda development, it says:
1) Download attatched file ('default_gain.conf' inside 'VolumeMods.zip') 2) Use a file manager or ADB to push it to "system/etc" (back up existing file first!)
how do we push the file to system/etc? don't quite get it actually... can someone clarify further please?

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Dec 17 2012, 09:30 PM) Added on December 17, 2012, 9:33 pmDid u switch rom ? Some roms have volume boast slightly from default , some dont . It's hard 2 say or pin point exactly what is wrong but kernels don't normally effect volume sound unless there's a tweak for it and u done something to it . For example , audio settings is STweaks since u r using perseus . nope, on stock rom, but I don't think I mess with the tweaks before.. dare not to simply touch it, maybe I should check into the STweaks, meanwhile, also reading some from xda and see if the mod to increase volume will do wonder for me. cheers mate. Added on December 17, 2012, 9:59 pmin the STweaks, audio sections. i tune the headphones amplifier from 50db to 57db, being 63db the maximum. is this advisable? the volume increase quite significantly. I'm just afraid that it might destroy the speaker in the long run... This post has been edited by tehoice: Dec 17 2012, 09:59 PM

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Dec 17 2012, 10:00 PM) there is , here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...51&postcount=16 Added on December 17, 2012, 10:03 pmIf u r complaining about ringtones , u need speakers , not headphones . If u r complaining about headset output being soft , yes that's right yup, thats the link I read. Sorry, I was complaining about the fm radio volume is too soft, so I think I got it right by tweaking the headphones amplifier only from 50db to 5db. this is good enough for me, thanks. but on the other hand, I tried copied the second file "Volume.db to system/etc to disable boot sound and camera sounds" i copied into the system/etc, but the camera sound is still there after rebooted. hmmm.... how should I do this ar.

please pardon me, albeit a user for quite a while, but very new to these flashings. i'm currently on the perseus alpha 27, can I jump straight to the alpha 29? or must I update the alpha 28 first before moving on to alpha 29? and the security hole still reading on it.

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Dec 20 2012, 08:52 AM) hmmm was on monx v2r1 for 1 day and all is well changed to the perseus kernel v29 yesterday and this morning got a stuck at "android" screen i have no complains on battery life though. seems pretty normal to me. however, i found a STweaks app suddenly on my phone. i wonder what is it for?? anyone changed anything there? and is perseus29 set to boot at 1.6Ghz? most of the settings in STweaks I dare not touch, left it in default mode, I only tweak the headphones amplifier higher due to my earlier complaint on the soft radio volume.

just for the sake of discussing. I'm already on memory swapped mode for weeks.
For those who have not swapped their memory, have anyone of you tried moving files, data, games to SD card by using directory bind? if yes, how do you find this method? those moved files, data and games still running perfectly?
