Haha....patenting every damn thing under the sun...

As an enthusiast, I did grow up during the early years of computing and was in awe of apple with the IIe and early macs. Somewhere along the line, all the closing off by Jobs started to turn me off of them.

To cut a long story short, I think crapple deserves all the litigative shit they can get because they were the ones who first threw it at the fan. You reap what you sow.

They won't be getting any of my money.

Point to note: crapple products are discretionary spending. Knowing they have such fat profits, consumers logically have the discretion on where to spend. However crapple are capitalizing on people's laziness and general technophobia. In this case, crapple's reality distortion field is so strong that consumers have been almost brainwashed to thinking that they are the only option out there.

Neak will not support exfat, therefore it does limit its wider utility.

Otterbox is an unmistakable statement of the Note2's sheer size.

This faux-iphone masque does come across as, um, I can't find a suitable word....pretentious comes to mind, but someone may have a better word...

Ooo...well...it didn't sound that way. If over-sensitive, either adjust potentiometer or send to Service Center.

I refer twrp due to its graphical interface n most important backup m restore is 20-30% faster than cwm
In addition twrp backup one single file while cwm in 2 files. You cannot identify your backup in obb folder making deletion of any backup impossible unless you do it in recovery mode
*
+1 yes, TWRP is nicer for touchy feely, and backups are easier to locate and manage manually.

Tap on Screen to show the Screen On Time (SOT) so that you can see how long you have actively used the device.

We usually provide SOT screens when discussing battery life.

All, I want to ask, since Fruitie mentioned this sometime couple of days ago. I keep seeing just plain text "user posted image" for a lot of the pic links you all post. It's happening even for sigs.

She said it was some problem with imgshack and LYN ? I'm on firefox 17.0.1 via https.
Anyone else have this problem?

Have not tried installing Aroma zips. TWRP are working on cross compatibility with CWM, but not sure about Aroma.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/risqu%C3%A9

Definition of RISQUÉ
: verging on impropriety or indecency : off-color <a risqué joke>

Post #2240:
Dude/dudette, your avatar pic is highly suggestive of a certain euphemistic phrase for erogenous zone exhibitionism...not that I mind though

And again, I DO NOT MIND... icon_rolleyes.gif

It came when I was damn busy in office but managed to catch my friends' attention when we had dinner and drink at Changkat just now. tongue.gif

As they say here, snap some pics and show the poison. Did you have poisson at Changkat hehe.

Ah, ok now I get it, https has some handshake needed before allowing connection to the next server....yes very messy affair. Ok la, privacy over convenience la..

wat does that mean? how do i switch it off
*
For your hardware stuff, go muck around in settings. Others with sharper memory may recall the exact sequence but usually after I turn something on or off, I leave and forget about it unless I have a reason to muck around with it continuously.

Bro, you charged twice....the up-tick peaks show that. So if by straight line extrapolation from 100% it should have been about 4 to 4.5hr, max maybe 5hrs ?

Still, 4hrs SOT means you've been sitting and playing with your phone for 4 solid hours hehe.

But, is that the largest card this phone supports?
*
Cikgu, SDXC standard goes to max of 2Tb (2049Gb) .... God knows when that will arrive. Maybe Note 5.

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Dec 27 2012, 09:21 AM)
just changed to Redpill 1.0

on the previous 2 kernels of stock monx DLL4 and Perseus29.1, i suffered gallery lag when trying to attach photos in whatsapp. the lag was insufferably long, lasting more than 10 seconds. opening the gallery by itself (not in app) does not cause this issue.

this morning i flashed redpill1.0 and wallah, problem gone
*
[PEDANT] voila [/PEDANT]

QUOTE(edwinlcw @ Dec 27 2012, 09:23 AM)
by the note 2, it said max supported up 64gb... but for SDXC standard... it should be able to hold up to 2TB card.... hmm.gif

just notice my wife's new white Note II taking a long time to lock the GPS, i flashed it with Omega V8 with accompanied kernel.  My grey unit with Monx LL4 + Perseues can lock GPS in seconds.  I think even mine previously on Omega V7 has no issue locking GPS fast.  hmm.gif  Got some trouble-shooting to do during this weekend already.  biggrin.gif
*
There is a file called gps.conf or gpsd.conf somewhere in the system folder which contains the settings of the nearest satellites in your region of the world. Omega dudes are the other end of the earth so it may default to settings there. Some utilities can change the values of this file.

QUOTE(sai86 @ Dec 27 2012, 09:18 AM)
i faced this on d 2nd weeks of using note2 (maxis also). on the 4th week, i realize by using CDMA gave me both calls function and data function work flawlessly. hence i nvr put it on auto again. only go to GSM when the area does not gave me good signal.

yet, i still can't brain y this happen rclxub.gif
*
[PEDANT] wtf is "brain" and why did it come about this way??? The proper term is "figure out" or "wonder why" depending on the context of the sentence. Even if it's chinese "想到“ it should be literally translated as "think out" or "think of it" or malay "fikirkan" it will translate into the same phrase "think".

Ok laaaaa I just couldn't resist a stab when I see bad grammar or bad spelling [/PEDANT]

There was an opinion piece which opined that the iphone 5's target demographic for the design was women.

Come to think of it leh, even the shiseido powder palette is larger and thicker than the ipon5.

[SARCASM] Well, it's such a svelte, lovely piece of hardware that even men love it so much... [/SARCASM]
