it is hard if not impossible to get 42mbps speed from a 42 mbps modem.. if u notice when connect to pc an e372 will show 43.2 mbps.. there is something called overhead in any connection... not even lan can each true 10/100/1000 mbps speed.. a good lan connection might only reach abt 60 or 70 % of throughput..

Ethernet over copper is already achieving 70 %, thats ~30% loss for direct electrical connection.. for wireless, interference, overhead, dropped packets have to be accounted for..Since there may be some imperfection on circuit and transmission lost. the real world will never provide us with a perfect conditon as in a lab.. heck.. ambient temperature can even affect transmission range.. |
