hi, im new in photography and im using nikon D-50. i would like to get more tips from the profesional around here so that i can improve my photography skills. i saw lots of professional photographer around here and i think i really gonna get lots of advice here. this is few of what i took and i wish to improve futhure. please drop me some tips. tq.

 a coconut tree that had drop almost as flat as the ground...  sun set while im on ferri.  same place where i took photo of those swimming pools...  same coconut tree...  this 1 taken infront of my house on chinese new year, its quite a quiet nigh. |

Not bad at all, mate. Good start to your DSLR shooting life!
 You got the composition right, also the exposure. Just try out something new like new angle, new viewpoint and new exposure. D50 is a good cam to start with. Just get yourself familiar with the cam first. Shooting with these subjects (landscape, still life) is possibly the learning materials for you. After that, only go for capture the moments, or portrait. |

 this 1 took in an italy restaurant...  flower seller for the people who rest in piece...  b4 and after...  this dog life is fun relaxing at the beach next to his toilet...  sun set infront of my house..  a traditional boat on a river...  this dog just like 2 take photo...  happy day... |

Eh, think you need to adjust the WB sometime.
My advice here. Try to set a standard size of your posting pix. So it will look neat(er) and clear. Your pix sometime is way too big, sometime is small like a thumbnail...  |

Ok, if you don't have PhotoShop, try IrFanView (www.download.com). It has the resize/resample feature that might come in handy in your case. And about the WB, it's the common problem for digicam. ya the panning is on the boat...got some more...but i slowly slowly post..i scared later post too many loading vry slow n the trip is good...really open up my eye... O.o  arena of stars hong kong on the 1st day there...  bruce lee statue..really remind me of that nokia advertisment..=.=  a boat pass by so try to shoot...focus not that well and the size is smaller cause i crop it out...  this is their air port exit...  panning on the boat again...well still new in panning..nv take that type of shot b4...1st time...but there is a good traning place...  this is also good place for me to train my panning... >.<  all this is in victoria park..very big...  i tot can get reflection on the water but hk is so polluted, the sky is full of haze... |

Welcome back, mate.
 Some nice shots there from HK. But where's the celebs pix?? Hahah, ok ok, got some comments for you here...1. You should try more landscape (horizontal) shots for whose wide views 2. The "horizon line" (to make your pix look stable) 3. Overexposed/Underexposed 4. Sharpness 5. Removing distractive objects in your shots These are my advices for you. Overall you got some nice pictures there and I look forward to see more from you. Keep up the efforts and shoot more~! |

nice try, but there are some photos i can't see where is your <object> . try to set some thing as your <object> at 1/3 left or right side of your picture will be more interesting. shoot at the sun is a dare try, but it will just darken your photo unless you have some thing pass by the sun.

i noticed u crop a lot of your photo in PP right? lost in pixel, as it shouldnt be at this sharpness level if u were shooting with d50. noise level is a bit odd to me too. |

hehe...i took alot lo..then delet oso alot...2 weeks around 150 photo already...now days not much costomer so got time to take photo..normally only take photo after finish working...now wanna go shower and its time for the sun set again...

well im no expert but u should balance the areas with shadow and the ones without shadow

Yeah, the butterfly is blur. Also, the shot is overexposed a little as the flower is blownout.

I'm quite sure with the d50, it's quite easy to just aim the camera at the butterfly and let autofocus kick in? The only reason I can think of is that you're moving the camera beyond the min focus distance. =) I didn't check your EXIF (if any) so I'm just guessing.As for overexposure, the camera has a histogram for you to check exposure. Hmm...comment abit, after i screen all of your picture, i reallize that your macro and potrait shooting is much more better than lanscape. Maybe you are born to shooting macro... while shooting lanscape, composition is playing a important role, no matter how beautiful the scene is, once your composition wrong, will spoilt a whole lanscape....and i can see that your skill has drastically improved. |

Result seem pretty identical to my Nikkor 70-300G lens at f5.7. Probably you can sharpen your image with a higher apeture of f8 to f14.

While my dad was playing golf, a monkey ran up to this golf bag and stole his handphone. The handphone was recovered later among the trees by the caddy with bite marks on it. So, make sure they don't steal your camera and take pictures of you instead!

Haha get lar the ZD 40-150/3.5-4.5. It's only about RM1k, and covers you more or less the same range as the DX 55-200. It's a more suitable pairing with your (assumed) ZD 14-45/3.5-4.5 kit lens. The ZD 50-200/2.8-3.5 ED is a pro-grade lens, complete with weather sealing, to compliment the ZD 14-54/2.8-3.5 ED that comes with the original E-1.

Hehe you seems to want to spend alot on your equipment. I don't know what your ISO limits are within the bounds of the camera's performance, but I think the aperture's plenty bright (considering most competing lenses in this range end with an F/5.6). Do you already have the FL36?

picture 1 got edge distraction...try to crop the image so it balance the composition, and enhance the contrast.

to calculate the magnification of two stacked lenses:
magnification = focal length prime lens / focal length of reversed lens so a 28mm lens reversed on a 200mm lens is 7.1X (image is 7 times life size on the sensor) enjoy... (Prime lense only) |

I'm not sure it's the metering or calibration, but maybe you can try to adjust the contrast or brightness for your pix in PhotoShop?? I think with more vivid colours and good contrast, your macro shots of nature will look even better. In my view lah. Hehehe... |

i use 3 to 5 photos to combine in 1 photo with photoshop CS2 thx 4 viewing guys..
angkor is a good place to train ur panorama...btw, im using D50..hehe...P/s : the beach is in thailand, in the island of koh samui... |

well i prefer pano then wide angle cos u din lost pixel, wide angle lost pixel when u wanna enlarged it...most of my pcs actual size is 20mb which is around 60+ pixel...

well..i think you do have some nice shots..outta all the photos that you've taken
but you ought to control your WB better...and try shooting different angle...and maybe..try to avoid high ISO settings...from my experiences...i hink using ISO800 is the highest that i will go...if u have the cash..get yourself an external flash to compensate to low lighting situation...coz i realise there are quite some of your images appears to be rather noisy... just my two cents |

i think the beauty of taking macro shots is that...you don't need to crop it in PS...maybe some touching up to control the color...
plan before you take macro shots...like which part of the object you would like to emphasis... try avoiding taking directly towards sunlight...it will ruin your camera's semiconductor substrate of the CCD image capturing electronics you definitely don't need to use flash when there is sunlight, unless your object is backfacing it and you're taking from the front... |

well..if you really insist on using flash for macro, i'd suggest you to buy an omnibounce for ur flash...coz at least you'll be able to soften the shadow of your object, try out several angles for ur flash...to get the best results...
i think if you're using an omnibounce, the results are rather obvious whereby the harsh shadows can be eliminated maybe not all..but a large amount of it... p/s : i'm sorta a arachnophobia...so i have some problems looking straight at your eight-legged friends.. |

the only 'flaw' that i found in this series is, the red colour are oversaturated, and it looks bold, or is that the colour from its body is already like that? my friend has a D80, his pictures seems to produce pictures like that also. (over saturated red).
about the details, i think u just lost a bit only at the edges, but thats fine.. well done i'd say.. |
