Not bad at all, mate. Good start to your DSLR shooting life! wink.gif

You got the composition right, also the exposure. Just try out something new like new angle, new viewpoint and new exposure. D50 is a good cam to start with. Just get yourself familiar with the cam first. Shooting with these subjects (landscape, still life) is possibly the learning materials for you. After that, only go for capture the moments, or portrait. thumbup.gif

This is for you, gaylord. whistling.gif

D50? Not really. Even BabyK is using D200 now. Well personally I don't really think he needs to find someone who use a similar camera to learn shooting. Just go out to shoot more, and always review his own shots. Check the EXIF data. And browse other's photo to get the ideas. That should be better than shoot with other D50 guy. smile.gif

Eh, think you need to adjust the WB sometime. sweat.gif

My advice here. Try to set a standard size of your posting pix. So it will look neat(er) and clear. Your pix sometime is way too big, sometime is small like a thumbnail... doh.gif

Reon : my photo size dunno whats wrong.. =.= i edited same size but mayb i post at photobucket that time theey auto resize. Thx 4 reminding me bout the w/b...going hk already...wish can get more experience there... >.<

How come? Didn't you shoot in the maximum size all the time?? sweat.gif Ok, if you don't have PhotoShop, try IrFanView (www.download.com). It has the resize/resample feature that might come in handy in your case. And about the WB, it's the common problem for digicam. Just shoot with different setting if the colour doesn't look right to you on LCD. smile.gif Wish you have a nice trip to HK~! thumbup.gif

Welcome back, mate. icon_rolleyes.gif Some nice shots there from HK. But where's the celebs pix?? biggrin.gif Hahah, ok ok, got some comments for you here...

1. You should try more landscape (horizontal) shots for whose wide views
2. The "horizon line" (to make your pix look stable)
3. Overexposed/Underexposed
4. Sharpness
5. Removing distractive objects in your shots

These are my advices for you. smile.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Overall you got some nice pictures there and I look forward to see more from you. Keep up the efforts and shoot more~! wink.gif

Try to think of better composition of your subject and overall picture. Try to give some imagination to the viewer when framing your shots. wink.gif

Matthew Photography some more... sweat.gif thumbup.gif

I'm not sure it's the metering or calibration, but maybe you can try to adjust the contrast or brightness for your pix in PhotoShop?? rolleyes.gif I think with more vivid colours and good contrast, your macro shots of nature will look even better. In my view lah. Hehehe... laugh.gif
