How much is the original cover being sold there? And which shopping complex did you went to? I only checked at the shopping near Sentosa there and can't find any. Im using the original cover btw. To activate the sleep and wake function, I cut off my Gnex flip cover, took off the magnet and paste it on the cover.

It's sold at SGD 29.90..available mostly at Sim Lim Square & Fun an Digital Mall (aka our LowYat Plaza), other places won't carry them.

Oh thanks. Tbf the original cover is the few covers that protect the Nexus 7 in every area possible. But the light grey one is abit prone to dirt. Saw the red one in Ebay but cannot get it here.

The nicest looking case so far I've seen is the SPECK FITFOLIO @ USD29.99. I'm waiting for mine to arrive. I know spending RM will feel a lil' costly for the case. But this is premium stuff. Too bad SPIGEN don't have any case for Nexus

Just look at the gamma curve for AMOLED, it's about 140% that of RGB standard. Most LCD just covers around 80% while iphone 5 goes near to 100%

Get ipad 3/4 then. Said to be the best

My Nexus 7 purchased from UK suffered a screen-crack after I retrieve my bag from a flight check-out; screen display fine but lost the capability to touch and use the tablet.

I understand warranty doesn't cover the physical damage but is there any place I can replace the screen for a reasonable fees?

Crap, it was just a short flight and I chuck the N7 into my notebook bag; didn't realise it was such a flimsy screen.

It's Sunday and Asus hotline is not active; however I think it won't be covered under warranty. Crap feeling to max.

Rule #1 - ALWAYS hand carry your gadgets while on flight. Don't think its the display being flimsy, it's the people who handle the luggage.

I dropped my nexus 7 directly 6 feet from glass to hard ground,only screen protector scratched,the inside is still perfect,somehow i'm lucky lol,and sorry to hear that

My nexus 7 suddenly rebooted itself today while playing a YouTube video. the video seems to stutter before it reboots.
Not sure if this is a common problem or perhaps too many running programs in the background. Anybody else have this same reboot issue?
Mine still on stock ROM 4.2.1 and unroot.

The dreaded thing finally happened. N7 battery was down to 10% & the unit suddenly dided. I ve plugged in the charger & have charged for an hour or so. Still no responce, the unit doesnt boot. Time to visit the service center? Should i try something before i take the unit to lowyat?

The first day I got my hands on Nexus 7 32GB+3G is to get all the apps setup and installed then get it to the shop for Screen Protector. Still waiting to get a back case for it . Will be getting it in from Taobao. Cheap and good variety to choose from. Cant wait.

planning to buy nexus 7 official case,but no sleep function,i think i will just cut it

Try reboot into fastboot mode n select restart
If still fail to start send in service center to replace battery
