Should be and some of my teachers said mid term exam and trial is more important than the real SPM because the SPM standard. They will tend to lower down

I'm in form 4 this yr. I ask here cuz u all got more experience.

Actually what's the use of bm tuition? For karangan, all u need is read more contoh karangan or something.....and depend on your creativity. Then for rumusan/tatabahasa, whatever needed is already taught in school.

So should I quit my bm tuition? Will I regret in the future?

the only reason for going to bm and bi tuition is the literature, antologi, novel.getting a tutorial class will only works well in those subjects that require much practice like science and maths, cause these subjects are more in solving problems and understandings, by having tutorial classes, you will be taught to solve questions and getting the explanation of the science theories. in literature, you will be given more ideas and analytic skills, also explaining every chapters for you, the tuition centers providing study materials, notes and so on

my opinion, it's still worth to go to a bm tuition. however, you can choose not to go since bm is something that you can easily self study, unless you are bad at it at first, then a helping hand from other people is highly encourage. language is something that it comes with you daily, not something you learn it, you know it immediately.

Actually,Not really...For add maths and maths the standard will be lowered..
The rest will be the same...
Basically, what you get for trials is what you will get for SPM..
Around the same...I got a friend who got 4A's for trials..
But 2A's in SPM...
whatever it is..dont be over confident...

Do u all actually know how marks are given for chemistry paper 2 essay, esp the one on describing an exp. We are only supposed to write procedure observations and inference right? Hope to clear my doubts about it.

You are supposed to plan the whole experiment until conclusion

Anyway, there should be a guide at the question like "your report should include ......"

Sometimes it doesn't include "your report should include bla bla" in the question and it just says 10 marks. So what are we supposed to write other than procedure, observations and inference? How are the marks given out for these kind of questions?example is spm 2011 question 10b, looking at the answers, I am not sure how 10 marks are given.

trials is important because it is needed if u want to make semakan semula for real spm.

based on my theory,
i think the real spm also based on trial results.
let say there is a lot of student got 'B+' and less 'A-'.
so they need to increase the number of ppl getting 'A' .
so they will look at ur trial result and school.
thats why elite school always got many ppl with 'A'.

The marks aren't fixed . Sometimes it's eight , sometimes ten , sometimes twelve . You don't need hypothesis or variables or anything like that , planning of experiment is the one in paper three .

In paper two , you'll need to describe an experiment using passive voice .

You need :

1 . Apparatus and Materials ( sometimes they want chemicals only but I always give apparatus just to be safe ) .
2 . Procedure ( this carries most marks , sometimes up to eight marks (
3 . Observation / Chemical equation / Table / Graph ( depending on the question , normally Salts questions require chemical equations , and electrolysis experiments require observations at the anode or cathode ) .

That's all . If you can fulfil these criteria , you don't need to worry about the marks .

SPM Chemistry past year book has HORRIBLE answers . Look at trial paper mark schemes instead .
