Yay thank you for telling me biggrin.gif you seemed to be very hard working. Respect.

Oh, I bought the smart practice oxford for form 4 chemistry and blegh it sucked. I've been sticking the module by Wan Noor Afifah and I highly recommend you the SPOTLIGHT reference book for chemistry. Also longman for chemistry exercises. It's really good. Well my teacher forced all of us to use the SPOTLIGHT and Module and it works!

I've been trying to improvise my Physics and Add maths. My weak points. Hopefully, I'll get better. I've seen improvements on my Physics so yeah.

Also can I please have the link to past years trials examination papers ? All state ?
*
Unfortunately I'm not hardworking enough . Still have a long long way to go , so much to cover !

I'm still on my way , preparing for my monthly test ( which begins tomorrow ! ) and I have to say , Sejarah Chapter 2 Form Five is a literally long-ass chapter ! So many facts to cram in , and so politically dense . shakehead.gif
Biology is all right . I absolutely love Form Five Bio , especially the anatomy part . I have both the Bio-Score modules , form four and form five ( but they are pretty old , 2010 version , a 2nd hand one passed down to me by a senior from another state ) , and I have to say , they are pretty good . There are some terms that are different from the ones in my Negeri Sembilan textbook , so I try to mix and match by reading certain parts and getting all the information possible from all sources . I have Sasbadi , Longman , Pelangi and SUCCESS Bio books ( 3/4 were given to me ) . Here's a clue to what I'm facing : Are baroreceptors stretched , or are they more stimulated ? Sympathetic nerves , or increased rate of nerve impulses sent ?

I also have both the Chemistry modules by Wan Afifah but they are all BLANK . I just got hold of them last week . ( again , passed down to me by a senior ) . No answers ( same goes to both of my Bio-score modules ! ) . sad.gif But I have no complaints as I'm pretty comfortable with my form four Chemistry .

For trial papers , you'd have to search for them online or try checking out the first page of this thread .

Do update us on your current study regime , I need motivation too ! My class is full of clueless , happy go lucky students and it's hard to maintain my discipline .

Haha okay sure.

I think barorecepters are stretched, since it is a stretch-sensitive receptor. Impulses are then sent, to the cardiovascular centre at Medulla Oblongata. Then it will SEND the impulses by the parasympathetic nerve to heart and the blood vessels which results in the decrease of heart rate hehe. Tho that's for the when BP is high tho.

Use the module well, it contains very good questions and we don't even need a notebook haha. We only use that as our reference. Though it's up to you to decide, I'm just suggesting.

For my study routine.... well..

I have tuition from Mon-Fri
8-10 pm -.-
In the evening, sometimes I rest, sometimes I sleep. Though after resting/sleeping I do my homework. Then pergi tusyen masa malam. Then when tuition ends, rest for 30 minutes and would study till 12:30-2AM haha usually I would last till 12:45 :S I've been revising form 4 for now. My Form 5, I keep them up to date with exercises and reading casually. Mid terms are coming soon..........

Actually baroreceptors are sensory nerves , they don't get stretched themselves , but detect the stretching of blood vessels and send nerve impulses to the cardiovascular centre in the medulla oblongata . That's why in SUCCESS / N.S Textbook , they are careful by not mentioning about stretching , but includes this phrase "baroreceptors are more stimulated / baroreceptors are less stimulated" . In Bio-score , there's this phrase "baroreceptors are inhibited" but they aren't really , they are just not that stimulated .

But in SPM of course you'll have to follow either the ones in Bio-score or reference books , not the actual fact . laugh.gif

You seem to be very hardworking . I never study past 10.30 / 11.00 . I tried doing that , but the results were horrible as I couldn't sleep due to the Sejarah facts spinning around my head . So I stop studying at around 10.00 , listen to music , watch TV , talk with my family members , then sleep .

Actually what I had intended to ask was not your study regime , but your progress . That way I'll have a benchmark so I won't slack . smile.gif

Use additional inrormation well. Any extras that are factually incorrect will result in penalty.

Baroreceptors are, as MaximR implied, mechanoreceptors that respond to alteration, or distortion, of the arterial wall.
Upon stimulation, nerve impulses are then fired to the solitary nucleus (NTS) in the medulla oblongata of the brain.
I don't think the receptor itself is strectched, rather, was stimulated, though I may be wrong here.

Looks like 2 of our seniors here have already received letters about SPM . I believe they came out tops in their state / district (?)

I'm inspired and motivated , but at the same time , nervous . Nervous when thinking about whether I can achieve what both of them had achieved or not . Help me seniors !

Have any1 of u heard about the implementation of HOTS(high order thinking skills) questions in our future exams? It is under the new education blueprint. My insane add maths teacher said 30% of our school mid year exam will be those HOTS questions.

Haha trust me, i usually fill my night time by spamming exercises. Reading... well when I have the mood. But usually it's exercises !!!

National Education Blueprint applies to those after our batch . I don't see teachers talking about these HOTS stuff , so what's going on there ? Some teachers ... I've no comment . Anyway , this HOTS thing will be in our Sejarah Paper 3 . The rest are implemented for PBS students .
