Do u all actually know how marks are given for chemistry paper 2 essay, esp the one on describing an exp. We are only supposed to write procedure observations and inference right? Hope to clear my doubts about it.

Sometimes it doesn't include "your report should include bla bla" in the question and it just says 10 marks. So what are we supposed to write other than procedure, observations and inference? How are the marks given out for these kind of questions?example is spm 2011 question 10b, looking at the answers, I am not sure how 10 marks are given.

That's all . If you can fulfil these criteria , you don't need to worry about the marks .

SPM Chemistry past year book has HORRIBLE answers . Look at trial paper mark schemes instead .

That is quite true. The ans are lousy. But I would like to know how to get 10 marks for the 2011 essay question, 10b. What is needed to be written? This is because for questions that ask us to explain about formation of covalent or ionic bonds, not that many marks are given. Usually 6 only

Me too! Im not good in sj. Really hate the wall of text in the f4 sj textbook. Really boring. Am and maths r my best subs n I really like them.

But DO NOT forget that the angle in Pythagorean trigonometric identity can be positive or negative (±√). Because θ in this case is an obtuse angle, so you need to apply the minus sign (−√).

Thanks for the reply. However, may I know how you get to know that sin (180+theta)=-sintheta and also the same thing for cos, as the angle is obtuse. How does it compare with the reference angle?

Explanation please, why is the answer D? Which are connected in parallel and which are connected in series? How to show that the brightness is the same when s2 is close when compared to when both s1 and 2 are closed?

Yeah I know that. But I dont know why brightness when s1s2 is closed is the same as when only s2 is closed. How does current flow when s1s2 are closed?
