if we apply from our college.
IF accepted, our money will directly go into the college account OR our own bank account 1st?

As for MMU case, we will half of the money direct banked into our bank account while half will be banked in straight to MMU's account. This way is good to avoid the students of over-spending and have no money left for the fees. smile.gif

I don't think any of the college will apply for you.
You will need to fill in the form (online if it still go-ahead plan) or the manual form(if they revert back) yourself as you need to find some document to be certified as well.

Your college is just facilitate your PTPTN, such as PTPTN day where you will need to send in the form to them directly(for those who have been listed approved for the loan).

I'm studying in UTP, taking PTPTN half loan. As for me, PTPTN give a fixed amount of money each semester. Say Rm 6570. Sometimes RM 5500 will go to admin directly to pay the fees and the remaining will be bank into your account. If that RM 5500 does not pay all the fees then you have to pay the remaining cost yourself. If that RM 5500 is more than enough to pay the fees for that semester, then must remember to claim back from your college or UNI, or else they'll keep quite only! The money that is bank into your account is not fixed - can be more can be less each semester.

I guess every college or university has different type of joint policy with the PTPTN. smile.gif In MMU's case, it is so different compared to UTP's situation, we have always gotten the same amount of money in our bank accounts, and another fixed amount will be banked in to MMU's accounts. Of course, if the transferred money to MMU is not sufficient, we have to come out with our own money since the extra money is already banked in to us earlier. It is best to consult the respective colleges or universities on this matter.

Not just stem duty, admin charge is 4%! Crazy man. They want to get back the money those ungrateful people took (and do not pay back) by charging the current ones 4%. haih.... Life is tough.

I beg to differ on the bold statement, Steve. Not all universities or colleges share the same policy where both the student and the institution are receiving money at the same time; some institutions only the students will be receiving the money, therefore the students need to know how to spend the money wisely. smile.gif

Any IPTS people got the money already? Why does it seems so difficult for them to manage all these loans to people? I thought they are systematic enough to do things. This is my final sem and my payments are done but i mostly borrow my relative's money to pay FIRST!! Waiting for the fund to arrive is a pain. I only know that my college admins said they sent the results for verifications already so the money will be linked somewhere near now. But still, nothing.

I've been an applicant for like 2 years now. Waiting for the first few months of the application to approve and fund transfer hurt my finance since i'm working day in day out for it. And a few cases I asked for my relatives to pay for my education!! Waiting for them to release money on schedule is hopeless.

When I ask my College admins to call them about the fund transfer... Mostly the one on duty on my college is away and not in the office... (for most of the time).

It's not convenient for us student. Come on, we need this for education and not we borrow their money for buying something else! (Even if we could but... it's till a pain in the bottom)

I was a graduated student atm, and i had got PTPTN load for my previous diploma and i was working now and doing the loan payback. I just wander, if i wanna continue further study eg. degree, do still able to loan for the 2nd time? As the i yet finished do the payback for the 1st loan.

If i able to loan for 2nd time, whats the things that i need to do? Hope i can get some information at here.

If you are going for part-time courses and working at the same time, I don't think you will get your loan.
Well, I think you need to clear off your previous loan first before you are able to apply for a new one. However, there might be some exception. You'll better get the answer via PTPTN counter directly.

As for the second loan, I think basically it is much or less the same with your first one. Prepare all the form and result transcript(Diploma and SPM), get it certified, get your offer letter ready and manual registering(online registration has been halted due to some technical problems according to PTPTN website)
