QUOTE(alphardjames @ Jun 30 2013, 02:42 PM) Hmm... Facing problem to connect to LTE too. Using Huawei E392 (Viva) that i bought from here 2 months ago. I just took up SIM only Maxis Wireless broadband plan yesterday. Then this morning changed the mini SIM to the Nano SIM which is exactly same as the Nano SIM on my ip5. FYI, i do get LTE on my ip5, that's why i terminated UMobile and get Maxis instead. Do i really need to get the special Nano SIM with 2 gold stripes on it? Had to pay RM25 plus buy a nano SIM adapter... Please flash your modem to the latest firmware, use the latest one at first page. Yes it will work on your modem since E398 and E392 in actually the same thing.Inside the Mobile Partner (latest version from the 1st page), if i choose Maxis (2G)(3G)(LTE), then no problem to register; but if i choose only LTE, registration failed. [attachmentid=3511654][attachmentid=3511655] Below is proof that the modem is picking up LTE signals using MDMA. [attachmentid=3511656] Can see the RSSI but cannot see the cell ID. Definitely not registered too. Btw, i use the E392 with TL-MR3420 3G/4G router. But it only connects when i set it to WCDMA only. If i set it for Auto, it will not connect at all once plug into the MR3420 Finally, what i did was taking the Nano SIM out from my ip5 and put into the E392. Same thing happen, cannot connect to LTE Anyone using E392 also facing this problem? TQ Next use the latest version of MDMA forcing your modem to LTE 1800Mhz What is your location right now. |

QUOTE(ioi84 @ Jul 2 2013, 11:37 PM) I just want to do some experiment with both frequencies since I got poor 3G experience over my new place. Most of the case, 900Mhz is slower due to it only support HSPA+ while 2100Mhz support DC-HSPA+So it's useless if I downgrade to older firmware right? And if I'm on 900Mhz, my connection will be slower right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Maxis don't actually run DC-HSPA+ on 900Mhz Try it first, E398 signal reception is very amazing, update to the latest firmware present a more significant boost |

I don't recommend anyone use dual antenna unless you know how to align it properly which is almost impossible.
For LTE, just don't use antenna, consider a better placement. Malaysia is a small country Tracking code will be sent tonight |
