Hi there, the reason I built it was because I can't afford a large size cintiq. Also tired waiting Apple to release a tablet (if they ever do).

Yeah, was collecting faulty mac and refurb them to improve my skill on modding, plus help on funding. But I have no intention to sell the iTab. Using it as my 2nd mac now. Love it. wink.gif

Hi dinodog, I'm just a designer too, have no electronic/ soldering/ engineer background even can't tell which leg of a LED is negative before this. But making use of the internet really helps. eBay for parts, google for research, forum to get helps.

iTab is short for "Wei DIY Tablet".

Your wall catches my attention. Is it wall paper or painted?
Nice setup nonetheless.

Let's say one day someone hack iPhone OS too and anyone can install it with their Nokia or HTC. And they tell you that you paid too much for your iPhone and in the end it's just the OS. How do you feel then? I'm pretty sure you will tell them it's not just the OS that simple...

Looks like you can only add more RAM and upgrade OSX.

Hmm, waiting for the mysterious "brick" that's coming next month. Watch out for September 30th. I hope it will be a fusion of MacMini + AppleTV.

tkh89, here's during night and the lamp turn on. I'm using the lowest power. There's 3 level to choose from. And I'm using a 100W bulb.

I'm running 6GB at the moment added 5GB from the stock 1GB. Going to 10GB soon.
As long as the RAM matches the spec, it should works. I have mix of KVR and KTA RAM. It's very personal preferences on type of RAM. I would say go with your budget.

Watch Activity Monitor to see your Mac memory usage, if it have high page out, time for more RAM. Also watch which app is hogging your RAM.

Then revert to Tiger, no one force you to use Leopard. Or hopefully the next OS X will not have all these issues. I'm still happy with 10.4.11. Don't see a point to move on until my other apps demand it.

Now, we don't want to have another Vista vs Leopard thing again.
I have snow leopard beta, so far yet to see anything fancy. Still too early to tell.
