I got mine from a local dealer. But he no longer carry this product.
You try to get it online, but shipping might be expensive.

Haiyaaaa I hate to do this but I'll say it again. I told u so!  Kekekekekeke. NVM still can sell off the Dell n get urself the 30"ACD. Drop price by rm1000 oredi.
*
Hehehe, it's ok, I can still live with the dell. The color is nice, just that some minor flaw here & there.
It's using the same panel as per ACD, so, until Apple re-design the ACD, I'm sticking with it at the moment biggrin.gif

Need to budget to pump in more RAM.

Anyway, I already bought it and been using it for months now, won't bother about the LCD at the moment. Yes ofcourse I know the premium of paying for an ACD. And heck I'm the one that's been stressing on these things on LCD comparison. Never the less, thanks for pointing that out.

Just got mine too, but not from OWC. Kingston 2x2GB. A sweet deal for RM810. I'm on zero page out too wink.gif

Total 6GB, not even 1/4 of the limit... lol.

Yup correct on that.

Dell = S-PVA type monitor.
ACD = S-IPS

Informative guide to clear up the air.

Thansk for your info. So happened my 30" Dell are S-IPS too.

I never say i will get ACD performance for a Dell price. Just that I'm happy with the overall for the price i've paid.

lailaikatong, would like to know where & how much you get the Pantone Huey too.
One thing I notice, I'm not sure is it a good idea to use your adapter when you keep the cable roll up.

Not really, it doesn't matter it is 20" or 30" the distance is standard. This is not HDTV where 32" & 40" are showing you the same resolution. Then you have to sit nearer or further to get the best view.

QUOTE(civic98 @ Oct 10 2007, 09:09 PM)
No problems with the Firewave driver, but the problem is, it's really of not much use, unless watching DVDs with my MB, which is rare. Few things I noted though:-

1. Realplayer playback audio sucks through Firewave, maybe it was encoded that way;
2. iTunes sometimes quit unexpectedly, happened to me few times during the first week i was using it;
3. Not compatible with Sofa Control, I cant control my main volume (system volume) with my remote anymore;
4. Volume very low through Firewave in Quicktime, but loud in other applications (iTunes etc).

What else?? Hmm... Not much use, really  sweat.gif

doh.gif looks like what I read is true. ALl those are related to the driver, if they built a good driver, everything should works. I'll stick to my good ol' speaker lar.

To be able to open 1080 HD media & to play it smoothly is two different thing. That also depends what type of encoding the file uses. Some codec take a lot of resources to decode. For example MKV. Also it's pointless to view 1080 media on tiny screen like 13.3" screen, you can't see the fine details unless you're watching it from 5cm away. You can always download some HD trailer to test on your hardware.

For my case, 720p already a very good media, watching it at 30" screen from approx 6 feet away. 720p media already 6-7GB per 2 hour movie. 1080p can easily double that. Without BD/HD DVD burner, it gonna be a hassle to archive. And current Mac do not come with BD/HD DVD drive. Render it pointless buying off the shelf BD/HDDVD movie.
