for gaming i think get x600 is a better choice..
as for clarity..
either e3100 or R401 is not a bad choice..

the difference is the addition of a tweeter in each satelite (in R501MK2)

Just wanna know the current cheapest price for a S5.1m preferably wit stands for the satellites.. So can u guys help? Also, is it ps2 friendly? Coming to the showroom on wednesday, so feedback before that would be nice.. Wanna spend my raya money wisely.. Oh yeah, is there anything newer than this model coming out? Thanks n Cheerios!

retail price of the s5.1m is rm838. the bargaining u can try to do later at dealer shops in lowyat plaza once u've decided on ur purchase.
stands for the s5.1m are at rm99 per pair (check showroom for stock).
the Playstation 2 does not have 5.1 analog output support. but u can use the inputs for the front left and front right speakers because the Playstation 2 usually comes in just Stereo mode unless u plan to get a digital decoder for it.
currently no newer model besides this.

So what about those games that support Dolby Pro Logic II? Can I get any benefit with 5.1 speakers when I turn this on? Where can I get my hands on a digital decoder then?

And what about playing DVD's on ps2? Can't get 5.1 from there as well? Don't understand this too well..

those games that support digital 5.1 on computer, can use the onboard soundcard decoding (for audigy 2)

if on ps 2, then u'll need a seperate digital decoder like DDTS 1000

So if X600 compare with R401, which 1 is more best for listening and gaming???

If u r in KL, pls drop by our showroom at 4th Low Yat Plaza to test out the speaker

for gaming, X600 is much better, more powerful bass (especially if you're into FPS, driving games).
