u can try 'GPS FIX" find at Play store it really helps on locking GPS satelite more faster

Oh....this...it possibly adds new values to the gps config file for the coordinates of the world you are at, so it will scan for the nearest satellites. Just my thought, since I recall you can actually edit the gps.conf file by hand if you know the correct values.

Honestly I don't see a need for gn2 to have such app. But again if you are experiencing slow fix then maybe you can try.

i assume with the GPS and Glonass we should no longer have problem having long time in locking the coordinates...

with a-gps aka with mobile data on its near instant lock. Without it usually takes longer is normal.

technically i am against the dataplan rate having in malaysia which is super expensive. However, if we need to get this new phone we need to use those features, we have no choice but to sign up a dataplan as well. dont care whether is a 500mb plan or a 1gb plan. is a must for this phone else it seems doesn't serve the purpose.

used smartphone without data plan better go get nokia 3310 . its like you used phone without prepaid

I'm thinking of getting a protective book flip case for my gf's new coming note 2.

She always drops her phone. After my experience with note 2, other then those super protective (not so nice) case like otterbox and seldio, is there any nice but still protective book flip case?

I bought Zenus because it has the case covering it (only the top right corner is expose to fall) the rest of the corners are ok, and also for the button.

The last Nilkin case that i use, without a lock mechanism, unfortunately fall while the cover is open, got 2 cracks on the phone.

So, while saving the battery from continous wifi scanning, you have to keep GPS on at all time? Or is it not using gps to detemine location?
