Hi, I'm thinking of building a new PC, though I have no experience in building one and currently I'm running on some hardware that's about 5 years old D:

I don't have a set budget, but under 5k would suffice.

I need a rig that's good for 3D work (animation, rendering) and some gaming (I mostly play TF2 and DOTA 2, nothing much)

Softwares I often use include:
Maya
Photoshop
After Effects
Premiere Pro

I have no brand preferences although my dad did ask me to check out Alienware computers. Are they worth it? Please enlighten this noob here :S
