is it normal for long run 1500rpm,my fan produce so much heat.it can raise temperature inside casing?
*
1500rpm fans hardly generate that much heat to begin with, must be your other components that are the culprit here

yeah, dust build up on fan, but the thing is, if you want to clean behind, those many little plastic frames will be obstructing the brush from cleaning, but you can clean the front easily but not the back.  laugh.gif

i'll ask them for the price on fb
*
Spectre 140mm are about Rm40 while Spectre pro 140mm are about Rm59, well the frame do kinda block the passage somewhat I suppose, they put it there to increase the rigidity of the inner frame because you can take the fan apart that way for modding purposes... LED versions are a bit tougher to do due to the LED wiring though tongue.gif

QUOTE(ronron @ Feb 14 2014, 09:57 AM)
I have bought the Bitfenix Spectre LED 120mm and installed as my front intake fans. so cool man, the LED looks good and brighter. most importantly, it's truely a Silence fan. Now I can a sleep well at night with PC on.

my HDD temperature maintain at 28'C  flex.gif  (CPUID HWMonitor), previously can rise until 35'C without intake fan. the airflow is good and blowing my HDD all the time.

The bitfenix Spectre LED didn't come with a 3-to-4pin molex connector.  blink.gif
*
nice temp drop smile.gif.. hmm... didn't know that the 4-pin molex to 3-pin fan is not included.. will highlight to HQ on the matter wink.gif don't blame me if the SRP increased later on okay? tongue.gif

I checked that the Spectre 140mm is pwm.
How about non-pwm fans which are 140mm ?
*
there are Spectres 140mm and Spectre Pro 140mm that are not PWM, basically there are every version to every variety of the spectre, such as a PWM, LED, non-LED and the sizes from 120mm to 230mm.... the only question is whether if the shops have stock when you're planing to buy or not smile.gif

erm..120 jetflo is good?.in review it say this fan is really good.airflow is massive.i want find good intake fan.dont care about noise.
*
probably good for intake and exhaust, but I'd recommend the Silverstone AP series for intake, the Jetflos can be used as an exhaust wink.gif

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Feb 16 2014, 07:40 AM)
You could grab Enermax T.B. Vegas Trio. Has better airflow, got 3 color and multiple lightning styles. And easy to clean with detachable blades.

I'm not sure why many recommends Bitfenix fans but based on my experience, its difficult to clean. I owned several fans such as Enermax, Noctua, Fractal and Coolermaster, and found it easier to clean with Enermax detachable fans.
*
true that detachable fans are easier to clean, probably people are siding to the others due to the costs? or maybe they're easier to find

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Feb 16 2014, 01:44 PM)
For your case, that is. but PWM fan are always better, PWM fan has no cold start problem, meaning you dont have to worry about your fan cant spin if the supplied voltage is too low. non-pwm fan may have already stop spinning.
*
+1, you could also plug it into a 3-pin header to be used as a normal fan, no biggie smile.gif

QUOTE(ntw @ Feb 17 2014, 01:33 AM)
So i guess you r saying that 3pin non-pwm fan can also work on 4pin pwm header.. But in voltage mode the fan can work but the fan speed can't be controlled right?
*
it works the other way around too wink.gif PWM function will be neglected but some mobos have voltage controls built in that you could tweak on the desktop smile.gif the tech is not new and has been around since the days of AMD AM3 and Intel CoreII generations of motherboards but they were not ideal at the time bugs to bugs and whatnot smile.gif

please recommend me 120mm fans using fluid bearing with good static pressure for use on heatsink, also need to be compatible with heatsink fan clips and below rm50.  sweat.gif

reason: the xigmatek xaf's (sleeve bearing) are starting to produce weird sound after just a few months use doh.gif
*
I can only think of Artic F12 and BitFenix Spectre Pro that's below RM50, others like the BeQuiet silent wings and Scythe Kama flow 2 is harder to find and not too sure of the SRP

Bitfenix Spectre Pro cant use fan clips right? im using thermalright venomous x
how about Xigmatek XLF, Enermax TB Silence, Enermax Cluster?
i didnt do enough research when i bought the XAFs, their sleeve bearing sucks! cry.gif
*
Unfortunately you're right, the spectre pros have a column through the mounting holes to make the outer frame rigid, some fanclips will hug the fans on the outer frame but in the case of the venomous-x it is not so

well I just got news that the 200mm Spectres are available in APES.My wink.gif was there just last week and they still have them in stock, not too sure about the pro variant but you can check with them wink.gif

Small Comparison review: laugh.gif

Bitfenix Spectre LED 120mm vs Enermax T.B. SIlence LED series 120mm

Bitfenix Spectre LED 120mm is really a good silence fan. I have test and compare it with Enermax T.B. Silence LED series 120mm, bitfenix spectre LED 120mm wins notworthy.gif
Enermax T.B. SIlence LED series 120mm is not "silence" at all compare to Bitfenix Spectre LED 120mm.

Maybe the reason is because
1.Bitfenix Spectre LED 120mm is running at rpm1000±10%, Enermax T.B. SIlence LED series 120mm running at rpm1200 (±10%).  (>200rpm different.)
2. Fluid Dynamic Bearings (FDB) vs Twister Bearing

No Idea what is Twister Bearing.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
*
interesting, tested with HSF or just the noise bro?? and is it the Spectre Pro or the original Spectres?

I suspect the "Twister Bearing" of the enermax t.b. silence series is Sleeve Bearing type.  hmm.gif

correct me if I am wrong.
*
nope, it's a type of Ball-bearing type exclusive to Enermax smile.gif

btw, may I ask? What kind of situation only need 2k rpm fan to blow? hmm.gif

lol 2K speed.... OC-ing with Liquid Nitrogen... other than that I don't think I'll have fans spinning at 2K RPM inside my chassis tongue.gif

Which 12cm cooling fan is best as intake fan and can blow to display card! Good airflow and silent! mad.gif my pc casing intake fan very noisy! i can't sleep well at all!
*
the best intake fan would be the Silverstone Air penetrator series... but they will not be quiet from what I gathered from user reviews, what fan are you using now that's noisy?

Hi Guys  smile.gif ,

Anyone have any idea to reduce the fan noise in the casing?

FYI, i have 5 casing fans (all from Cooler Master) and my Processor is still using stock cooling fan (AMD FX8350).

I have intention to upgrade to liquid cooling for processor but thing is i just bought the processor last year and scared that will void the warranty if change to aftermarket cpu fan.

Any recommendation on this, folks? Suggestions will be highly appreciated~! Thanks

p/s: mobo - msi 990fxa, gpu-radeon hd7850, casing-CM USP200
*
there are a few ways you can do it...

1- download SpeedFan, FOC and easy to use but your fans must be plugged into your motherboard headers and it's not perfect
2- change your fans to quieter ones or reduce the number of fans you're having inside the chassis
3- get a fan controller

Any recommendation for quiet fans, bro? nod.gif
*
Most of us will get the Artic F12 but Corsair, BitFenix, Noiseblockers, Silent wings are a few that have very good quiet fans

QUOTE(RoyRF @ Apr 14 2014, 03:10 PM)
Yes, i have 1 rear, 1 bottom, 1 front, 2 side panel.. (total-5 fans 120mm)

but i notice 2 side panel fans humming very loud, although i bought CM Xtraflo 120mm 2 pcs and says that noise only 19db..

If we lower the rpm, will it affect the humidity inside the cpu? maybe temp will go up, no?
*
Sidepanel fans will be much louder than the ones mounted on the actual frame of a chassis because the panel is not as solid in comparison so vibrations from fans mounted on them will be noisy, that is why I myself never have any fans mounted at the side panels even though there are mounting holes for them

and CM xtraflo have a few models with variable speeds so don't expect them to be quiet when they're at full speed, the 19DBA rating may have been over exaggerated like their sickleflow previously as well

BitFenix Spectre Pro LED
Aerocool Shark Evil Green
Silverstone AP121

not cpu , i mean chassis fan or customize chassis fan ~
*
well the Elite 130 can only fit a 120mm fan at the front with the exhaust being your PSU... may be better to tell us what you're currently using to cool your CPU and let us know the GPU as well

Here are a few things that you can do regardless of your settings though

1- Remove the HDD cage at the front to let air flow unobstructed through the chassis
2- Change the front fan to a Silverstone Air Penetrator series for better effect

This works better with a blower-style GPU cooler that throws less heat into the chassis and out to the back instead.

1more question , where can i buy that air penetrator and noctua noctua nh-l9i .
i cant find it at PJ digital mall .  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
*
Both the AP121 fan and Noctua NH-L9i should be available in most pc shops... if you don't mind travelling, takking a look at LYP might be a good idea... or another choice would be to call Inter Asia directly to see if they have stock in hand for you to buy directly
