Hi I said this before but I want the light blue color (platinum aqua metallic), it's sold out (along with silver color) for this year so I'm getting the 2013 Insight hopefully arriving next month, made my booking in October lol....... Definitely worth the wait for the one and only color I want :]? Some Prius C/Prius buyers waited for half a year or more to get their hybrids!! A few months is nothing compared to......4 years? I fell in love with Insight and decided to get my hands on it when it was released in 2009. And I searched for information online every single day about the car until today.............

I don't think I'm entitled for the huge discounts/offers new owners are getting right now for the 2012 Insight, yes it's attractive BUT only white color and some black left. What a shame...............

According to the dealer Honda only have 2000 units of Insight for each color to sell in 2012 which makes it 8000 altogether for 4 colors. How many Insight are sold this year?? Patiently waiting for my new hybrid...........

1. the discount thingy is because they wanna clear the 2012 stock. heard that Honda M'sia brought in too many units and they need to clear it by end year (due to value depreciation when it hits 2013)
2. So far the the 'tax waiver' is planned to end at Dec 2013 la (if i remember correctly)
3. Its not a full hybrid like Toyota's (which is has overall better FC than Honda's). Kong in what way bro ? if referring to battery, the lifetime of it is around 7 years +/- la. So when 8th year time to change the battery if it doesn't work anymore. hopefully the replacements will be cheaper by then. (btw which car doesn't have problems after 8 years)

insight head light and foglight bult is using what size? need to change to philips.

Both big light are H11 size.

Both also Philips brand already.

The 2011 don't hv DRL (head light use don't count). The other forum has a link to one which is exact fit but costly.

finally took my car yesterday.
new experience, when parking in shopping complex & crossing the bumper, engine stopped.
this happened even ECON OFF.

So u need to switch back the engine on?

How about you take 2012 Insight of what color Honda has, and then paint to the color that you want. I am sure, the discount given now will offset your painting cost, and you still gain...

Thanks for the suggestion and from previous forumer, ya I thought of that. Painting the whole car takes around 2 weeks with a cost of around RM4000-5000 (almost the price of the NiMH battery..). Money wise yes I might gain a little bit. But It's not just about the money, I don't have the time and resources (repainting the whole car is not green..??) and I need the car to go to work -.-

There is 1 thing I gain I think, 2nd hand value because my car will be registered in 2013. By next month January 2013 the 2012 Insights will lose 1 year value right? I don't know how much....... So for me it's still a good deal and most importantly I love our Insight Hybrid ....!!
