how is this compare to quad core like android tv mk808?

I am sorry bro, please allow me not to mentioned the model number, but the below comment general apply to all stick/dongle base Smart Android TV. Please take note of the below when you decide to buy stick base player :
A). WIFI signal receiving
B). Limited USB port
C). Heat are concentrated in one small piece of metal.

Stick base/dongle player is best suite for people need to travel around and carry the small dongle together. But not for home use and long operating hours.

I have shared the below in my thread, hope it help anyone plan to buy Android Smart TV.

Selection criteria when you survey Android TV box :
1). Due to the flexibility and dynamic apps available in Android TV box, it is beyond the limit of the traditional media player or IPTV. Post sales support and sharing of experiences is very important to fully utilize your Android TV box.
2). Selection criteria of Android TV box is not the CPU speed or number of cores, very important is the audio/video decoding capability and the reliability of the hardware.
3). Renown hardware principle with in-house Android engineer to continuously develop the firmware to fix software bugs and capable to develop Android Apps for valued added functionality.
4). The input and output capability to fulfill different needs such as Video Cam, home theater, Amplifier and etc.
5). Please avoid Stick base Android TV due to the heat and wifi signal issues.

Sorry bro, we do not have model with 2GB and 8GB Flash.

Just to be noted that selection factors of Andriod TV is not the same as select the conventional laptop or desktop, the highest spec the better performance. Because the important factors of Andriod TV is not just the performance but the reliability and the capable to decode the audio/video format.

No bro, Q10 is more expensive due to the material used in Q10 is very much better Q5/Q5II. For example the casing finishing, the LED clock is multi dots and bigger than Q5, the touch screen panel, the clamp shell to dock the Sata disk, the internal build-in fan to blow the hot air out from the motherboard and etc.

Q5II is newer generation, of course the CPU is better than Q10 and support 3D which Q10 do not have. I would say, it depend on the user requirement and the budget, but not Q10 better than Q5II or Q5II better than Q10.

today i went to my friends-place to take a look at things.
i found that xbmc interface and add-on they're ok.

- Playing mkv. or any hd files from usb cable also via upnp dlna
on xbmc (sharing from Wire and Wireless N) they are stuttering.
but other players seem to be fine (mx player , native player)
which have HW accelerator. he tried more than 10 version he said.

- Airplay from apple devices not work with youtube (app ,web)
lastest firmware

he has 10 Mbps Adsl i think

Very simple bro, if you required 3D support then go for Q5II.

If you do not need 3D support and budget is no problem, you may consider Q10.

Thank you for your clear clarification, now I understood your problem.

Just set xBMC default player to MX player as per my thready FAQ question #13, then you can use MX Player as the player in xBMC. I presumed your friend is using the free version of MX Player. Otherwise your friend need to modify the XML file.

Ive got it last night this box from overseas.
Played for a while and found that.

Solve :

- airplay software which came with the box is not compatible with ios7 youtube app yet also youtube app late version doesnt work too. To solve this problem use Protube app found on app store and find older youtube .apk should work

- Plex works great and also easier to change to external players like MX player found in option list.

Question

- native player came with himedia q5ii cant find a short cut in home screen it just appears when you play local files. Even when i use plex ro play from nas its not there. Any one can tell me how to make it there

- Xbmc still notwork with internal player.

- need to know what special is this device 's hardware to support hd media or 3d full rip ? Cos spec is very same with others. If everything came from hardware power
So i can pick any player supporting HW render 3d full rip should work the same way with native player right?
