today i went to my friends-place to take a look at things.
i found that xbmc interface and add-on they're ok.

- Playing mkv. or any hd files from usb cable also via upnp dlna
on xbmc (sharing from Wire and Wireless N) they are stuttering.
but other players seem to be fine (mx player , native player)
which have HW accelerator. he tried more than 10 version he said.

- Airplay from apple devices not work with youtube (app ,web)
lastest firmware

he has 10 Mbps Adsl i think

Thank you for your clear clarification, now I understood your problem.

Just set xBMC default player to MX player as per my thready FAQ question #13, then you can use MX Player as the player in xBMC. I presumed your friend is using the free version of MX Player. Otherwise your friend need to modify the XML file.

Ive got it last night this box from overseas.
Played for a while and found that.

Solve :

- airplay software which came with the box is not compatible with ios7 youtube app yet also youtube app late version doesnt work too. To solve this problem use Protube app found on app store and find older youtube .apk should work

- Plex works great and also easier to change to external players like MX player found in option list.

Question

- native player came with himedia q5ii cant find a short cut in home screen it just appears when you play local files. Even when i use plex ro play from nas its not there. Any one can tell me how to make it there

- Xbmc still notwork with internal player.

- need to know what special is this device 's hardware to support hd media or 3d full rip ? Cos spec is very same with others. If everything came from hardware power
So i can pick any player supporting HW render 3d full rip should work the same way with native player right?

Please find below my answer :

1). Change the Himedia launcher to Android native launcher then you can see the Media Player icon. Q5II Himedia launcher hide the media player and music player.

2). As mentioned earlier, to solve your problem change the xBMC internal player to MX Player.

3). The special is the native player functionality you could not find in other player.
P/S : The build-in media player is not Android native player but Himedia developed apps. Himedia has been in traditional media player market for some time, they have their owned developed apps.

Thanks for your answer.

But I believe that it's not possible to open Himedia stock player in this box even I used another launcher.
Or .. you can tell me which one is the real native launcher ? may be i'm wrong cos now I can find just only 2.

Thanks for your tut about remote control. very helpful.

The below screen is the native Android launcher, the icon "VideoPlayer" is the Himedia Player.

This is native Android launcher, just goto Settings-> Apps -> Himedia Launcher -> clear default.
When you click Home button from Remote Control, the system will prompt you "Himedia Launcher" or "Launcher". Pls click "Launcher".  You will see the blank screen first and look for application button.

I really confuse about my default launcher which looks difference from yours
Seems less icons also there's no himedia player. May be my device firmware is broken. I did factory restore for many times. The result still the same.

Thanks by the way.

Ps. Im from Thailand.

Excuse me.

First, I'm not your customer actually.I'm form TH. and looking in the tread saw that you have a try with 1.0.7 version of Q5II none EMMC already. and look like you found one suited with it.

I would like to ask you which one I do have to download it.

If you don't mind. Please suggest me.
