Received my Q5 pro media player and Nicety was as what other forumers described truly patient and professional enough to guide me through even when it well late at night to ensure I was able to view due to my messy Unifi connection. Nicety helped me to troubleshoot and until the matter was resolved. Thank u once again and loving my media player!

Dear Customers,
If you are using Unify HyppTV box from Telekom, please to be noted HyppTV is using separated network not normal internet. There is one Ethernet port on your Unify router which configured for HyppTV use only, please don't plug in android box to this Ethernet port, it will not work because the preconfigured IP adddress only work for HyppTV dedicated network only. If you wrongly plug into HyppTV port, your device will not auto obtain IP address from DHCP and your IP address will be 0.0.0.0.

For buyer stay in multi storey house, if you use Home Plug to extend your internet from ground floor to level one and level two, please ensure your home plug at ground floor use the right Ethernet port of your Unify router. Do not use the HyppTV port for your home plug.

Dear Customers,

OpenSubtitles has enabled the login and password in order to use their service. Your Kodi will prompt the below error if you access to OpenSubtitles addon :

Please follow the below steps to continue access to OpenSubtitles :
1). Goto http://www.opensubtitles.org/, register new account for OpenSubtitles.

2). Try login to above website once you successfully register with OpenSubtitles. Until you manage to login then only proceed to step #3.

3). Start your Kodi, goto System -> My Addon -> Subtitles -> OpenSubtitles.

4). Click "Configure" as per below screen.

5). Enter your login and password as per new account registered in step #1.

P/S: if you already have OpenSubtitles account use for ShowBox, the login and password could be shared for both Showbox and Kodi.

6). If you manage to login successfully, you should see the subtitle provide by OpenSubtitles.

Firmware 108 is latest stable firmware. As usual I don't recommend to update firmware if your box and apps are running well.

The next firmware update will be direct jump from Android 5 to Android 7. Please be patient, the first version of Android 7 has lot of bugs, please wait for the next version. I will test thoroughly before recommend to our customers.

But very important is Himedia has Android 7 roadmap for Q5 Pro and Q10 Pro, your Q5 Pro and Q10 Pro box future proof is guaranteed.

my tv there does not have lan cable. just wondering if using wifi will the loading take significantly longer?

If depend on your wifi router, how far away from your wifi router to your Tv?

Dear Customers,

Himedia has released OTA(over the air) Update, if you received the below screen, please choose one of the below option :

1). Click "Download" to auto upgrade your firmware to 1.0.9. The upgrade will take few minutes to hour depend on your internet speed.

2). Click "Give Up" to ignore and stay with current firmware.

3). Click "Cancel" to ignore, it will prompt again in the next reboot.

As usual advise, if you are happy with current firmware, please don't upgrade. Click "Give Up" for the moment. When you need update in the future, just launch OTA app from my app.

Hi, do you have any recommendation if I need a tv box with english interface with up to date US drama, HBO HD, hk drama and sport live stream?

Do you help to pre-install them in the box before you send to buyer?

If yes can you recommend a model for me?

Tha latest version is Androud 7 Nougat, but we do not recommended to proceed with Android 7 as some application yet to ready. It is recommend to stay with 5.1. If you would like to try Android 7, we could preinstalled for you as well.

The good thing i would like to highlight is the Android roadmap is guaranty for Q5 Pro and Q10 Pro, you have no worry in the future when you need the apps that require Android 7. The future proof is guaranteed.

Yes, there are preinstalled free streaming English apps for English/HK movies and dramas.

However, live sports are western monopoles business, you cannot find stable and last long free live sports.

Q5 Pro is not rooted, I guess you probably get the wrong info from Astro OTG.
