Hi Nicety,

Got the Q5pro over the weekend. Its working fine but with one problem. I am randomly getting the error message the System UI has stopped. And the message keeps coming back on even after i press ok or cancel. Is there anyway to solve this ?

Remove all the app icons added by me from the launcher. Restart your Q5 and test again.

Himedia Q10 Pro and Q5 Pro support 4K HDR, what is HDR (High-dynamic-range) mean ?

HDR is a technique used to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity. The human eye, through adaptation of the iris and human brain, adjusts constantly to the broad dynamic changes ubiquitous in our environment. The brain continuously interprets this information so that a viewer can see in a wide range of light conditions.

None-HDR cameras take photographs with a limited exposure range, resulting in the loss of detail in highlights or shadows, in ordinary term is image too dark or over exposed as below photos :


The aim of HDR is to present the human eye with a similar range of luminance, such as many real-world scenes containing very bright, direct sunlight to extreme shade, or very faint nebulae. This could be achieved by capturing and then combining several different narrower range exposures of the same subject matter. What is 10bit color?

Typical Home HD video signals use 8-bit color, meaning that for each pixel, the signal contains eight bits for each of the three primary colors. Since there are 256 possible 8-bit binary numbers, you get 256 shades each of red, green, and blue. Combine the three together, and you get 16,777,216 possible colors (256 cubed).

That sounds like plenty, and to the naked eye, it is. But subtle differences between those 256 shades, impossible with 8-bit color, can help create depth and a sense of reality. That's where deep color comes in. With 10-bit color, you get 1,024 shades of each primary color, and over a billion possible colors. The below video explain further about 10bit color.
