china side is super fast with no lag.
I have tons of china IPTV and tested both in malaysia and china.
most of them works flawlessly in china with no lag and buffer and it runs in 720p.
Even xiaomi tv is working superb in china but not in malaysia.
Is due to malaysia ISP restrict streaming bandwidth on overseas for those non listed site.
No matter you use maxis, time and unifi is still the same is just s**ks

The only IPTV that works well now in malaysia are from IDST which is running fine but most of the channel from china not clear.
Only those from channel from HK and taiwan are much clearer

When streaming always keep in mind there is a difference for local hosted content and non local hosted content. Local content can travel using local backbone. But internationally hosted content need to travel thru the sea cable. There is a limited amount of bandwidth that can go thru this channels and not to mention a higher route time as well. Also keep in mind depending on which country the content is located, that will have an effect too. So I wont be so quick to blame the local ISP.

Watch this.

yes local hosted content run on local backbone. currently I tested all these iptv with different brand and software and not only in malaysia. due to all my testing only malaysia are having slow response on streaming with on going buffering which are pretty bad.

Hi Nicety, I am new here. I bought a Q5 ii but sadly it was not from you. My friend bought from me in China. I should have done more homework and read more forum before buying there. With the price you selling here, and the support given by you, it makes me regret buying there.

I guess there are still many people out there will be thinking of buying one from China. So I want to provide some information here for them to make comparison before they regret like me. I am not a power user of this media player so I will only compare those basic function with what you guys have shared here on the export set.

here are some issues that I found with my China set. For your info, those players bought in 2014 most likely is a MangoQ version, meaning MangoQ have made some customization on the firmware.
1) there is no Google play store inside. Even I install it using apk, it cannot run. Probably is because Google is banned from China.
2) there is no integrated internet browser. Although there is one but the firmware won't allow it's shortcut to appear in the application list. End up I have to install chrome but it doesn't work. Finally dolphin browser works. So all these installation take up some internal memory space.
3) from the installed application list, I saw some application installed but I couldn't find the shortcut to open them. For example I found few emulator for nes and sega, but I cannot find where to open the application. Must have been hidden by the MangoQ firmware.

OK here I share some screen shot of this MangoQ version:

Bro, this setting has been added in Q5II FAQ since some time ago and posted in this thread.
Pls subscribe to this thread, we always keep customers update when we found any good xBMC setting.

to be honest bro, i did try the file previously before i reset the player and it made no difference. however after resetting and removing all the unwanted apps, i tried it again hoping it will work like it did for the other guy. unfortunately it didn't. same issue, online movie streaming using XBMC for all HD movies lag. I have even connected it directly to my router without any switch and same thing.

I have given up watching HD movies on my Q5, I'll probably just stick to Netflix and watch SD movies instead in XBMC sad.gif

The naming is always Q5II@x where x is the number. So far I never see the Chinese a Device name. If you found weird name, pls feel free to feedback to me.

Hi Nicety,

I have a question regarding Q10ii and its 3D function. I have a friend and he told me that the 3D does not work well for this function. When he plays a 3D mkv file, he has to manually click on the 3D button on the remote to combine the visuals. Unfortunately, after combine, the movie is laggy and out of sync. Please advise how to resolve this. thanks.

Thank you for inquiry bro.

Yes, you need to press the 3D button if your TV do not detect the video as 3D automatically.

However, we do not have lagging problem with playing 3D. I would suggest you personally bring your 3D movies to your friend's house and try it yourselves.
