1.0.6 English firmware not yet available. I think you get the info from some where else, actually the 1.0.6 is refer to Chinese Firmware which do not have GooglePlay Store.

anyone tried to play any movies in xbmc recently especially with mashup, icefilms or xunity add-ons?

i tried quite few movies and all have url resolver error or just flash with opening link dialog box and then nothing happens....

i wish HiMedia actually take seriously to convert their firmware language to English. Most of their interface are still using chinese language. Coz of this, the non chinese reading ppl are missing out quite alot of the video streaming functions.

Bro, please always get the firmware from the reliable source as it will be serious if the firmware injected with spyware. My advise is always obtain the firmware from the seller you bought instead of unknown source.

The firmware 1.0.6 already in my Skydrive(OneDrive) for EMMC model, there are some tricky steps to perform, I am in the progress to prepare the documentation and upload into skydrive later. As usual, I will test the firmware first and update the test result in the thread. If you do not have any urgency, please do not update first until the firmware is tested completely.

For none EMMC model, English firmware 1.0.6 yet to be available. However if you need 1.0.6 urgently, first deloy with Chinese firmware and deploy with GooglePlay app. Just pm myself, I will guide you how to deploy the GooglePlay App.

managed to solve the issue only by uninstalling and reinstalling. now i onlyinstall xunity and istream which is great.

Under iStream, i can see shortcuts like TV Shows, TV Search, Movies, Movies Search, iWatch, Bookmarks and Settings. I would like to add Live TV shortcuts directly under iStream. How do i do it?

I simulated you problem in my box, the root cause was due to the addon. Just goto System -> Addon and ensure all the addon latest updates applied accordingly.

managed to get Live TV shown as shortcut using the XUnity Mod skin.

Firmware is the Chinese supply of equipment. So this is the official version published on the internet store selling, among other things the device.

The firmware 1.0.6 added functions will acces point. In addition, the firmware is less stable, sometimes stops working pilot. XBMC still does not work. Overall I would not recommend it.

Bro, I think you did not get the right instruction from the seller you bought. As mentioned in my thread you could choose 12.2 or 12.3 XBMC depend on your need, both version are working fine with my config files :-)

My recommendation :

If you already have 1.0.5 Jan build, it is not recommend to upgrade since 1.0.5 already solve Youtube and AirPlay mirror already working. If you are below 1.0.5, then 1.0.6 made sense to upgrade.

I have a strange problem with my q5ii nand, the date is set to 2/1/1970 and don't update, if I do a factory reset or flash a new firmware the first time it boots the time and date updates correcty but if I restart then is again 2/1/1970 and that's it .Does anyone knows if there is an internal battery in q5ii? If there was an option for manually setting date and time maybe I could solve it but strangely there isn't. It's a serious problem because google can't sync so gmail, playstore are off.The internet connection is working both lan and Wi-Fi.
