In firmware 1.0.5, how to preset certain app to auto start when on the device?

You can do this in firmware 1.0.2.

After firmware 1.0.3, the UI has been change totally and the auto start function is removed. However technically still can do this using the Linux script. Will Google if I could found anything about script. If found I will share it here.

On upper part of this "home page", there are some icons listed. How can i manually specify the icons that appear in this upper part of the "home page"?

Todo this you need a mouse. Goto My Apps -> select the apps icon or widget -> drag the icon and drop in the home page. The method is same as native Android launcher.

I downloaded the firmware, with file name:update_dualcore_Q5_en.zip and save into root directory of the usb flash drive and connect to usb port 1 of the unit.
Using restore method, I try to update to 1.0.5, but it shows error.
The unit did not updated.
When I try to browse for USB flash drive in file manager apps, I can't find it.
It shows, USB-C, when I click on it, it shows all the files in the unit flash memory rather than files in the USB flash drive.

My LCD no 3d function so can I use 3d effect from q5ii?

3D effect need 3D TV and 3D glasses. If you don't not have 3D TV, Q5II could merge the 3D picture for you but your TV will not to handle the 3D and you cannot watch without the glasses.

finally using upgrade from firmware upgrade page manage to upgrade my unit to 1.0.5 version d/l from nicety one drive.
I have to use sdcard only the unit able to find the updated firmware. Good thing updated from this method, most of apps still there, woohoo!

Rebooted fine.
1. Now I am able to find my usb from file manager!
2. Mango TV playback lag
2. Youtube apps (double click installed from my sdcard backup) playback not fixed.

Mango TV got "我是歌手2“，too bad the playback is very lag!
By the way, I backup my apps into the sdcard, but apps backup doesn't let me have option to restore from my sdcard,how then...?

Sigh...! Waiting for better firmware release.

Update:
1. Youtube finally works after I use the version from nicety onedrive, 5.0.12. Strange though only this version works.
2. mango TV still lags, have to keep on trying.

I would like to know if Q5 ii support the wireless mouse receiver and mouse?
I plug in the received into the USB port, doesn't seem to work.

This 1.0.5 is english version is it? coz from the chinese version firmware i cannot see any update. is this an official update or taken from forum one?

yes, the one from nicety onedrive is english version, forum version in chinese. official english version maybe got to wait.
