Sorry bro, the upgrade will remove all the apps and customization will lost if use Restore button. Actually the apps and xBMC customization could be restored easily if you backup upfront properly.

However, you may try upgrade from Setting -> upgrade. Pls share if you try the second method.

just upgraded using the Restore button. lost all apps and customizations as expected. luckily i backup the apps and XBMC hidden folder.

here's the observations so far:

1. SkyMusic doesnt work
2. MangoTV is too slow even on Unifi 5MB
3. No Youtube apps preinstalled or we have to install ourself from play store?

Attached with the SkyMusic works in my Q5II.


All the APK files are in the Skydrive under sub folder "APP_Backup_Restore_Q5II" included Youtube 5.0.21.

I only got an icon with Unknown Unknown Unknown, instead of album name, singer name etc

AirMusic is for IOS device, start your iPhone/iPad -> music -> Air Play -> select Q5II -> play the music then you see the album name and singer name.

nicety is a very nice and friendly person. I live in United States, (like to be but )not as nicety's customer, he was so kind to give me the new firmware after hearing my painful experience on Q5II that I bought for my parents.
The 1.0.5 firmware work very nice and solve most issues I got from old version of firmware like 1.0.4 & 1.0.3.

Mango TV quality is great for those chinese tv channel.

New Airplay mirror feature bring the Q5II to whole new level experience of sharing content from my ipad to the tv.

Youtube work fine with the browser but official Youtube apk still got audio only no image, hey~ a least it working.
