not sure but seems a few more things working better after updating to 12.3.

emmc version Q3II, Q5II, Q6II, Q10II now release the latest 1.05 firmware, ( 1. support DVD ISO, 2. support XBMC, 3. support Airplay, 4. support Youtube, 5. solve AC3 5.1 noisy issue, 6. add manguo TV),
pls noted, do not download the 1.05 chinese version firmware 1st, playstore can not use n interface will change chinese de, we have english version firmware, if nid upgrade u can bring the unit to pj digital mall or wait later i post the link then download de

minix x7 the advantage is it have 16gb built -in, others function, support, q5ii more better de, even speed u will feel emmc version q5ii is more faster de, quad core, 2gb ram maybe only when u play those very big 3d game then will feel different de (but for android box main function is for steaming movie), so i suggest u think about the q5ii de

i just tested this on q5ii with both wired and wireless lan.
works well, good, even for 50ft wireless.
but astro-otg hd stuff will come out non hd. good enuf for small tvs, but appears sd on larger tvs.
guess hard to expect even 720p for any streaming.

the good feature of astro-otg is it contains some, not all, old episodes of certain shows, so can catch up, like what other apps offer on androidtv.
so, if u hv or can get an active astro id, u can have one more fairly good app on q5ii. app is in playstore.


one more thing to share... if you find hitv channels lag and slow, try this one. best so far, i find. 720p comes out ok, usually.

Wow, really, how do you manage to use astro on the go on Q5ii, did it automatically allows you to install via google play or you have to do some workaround?

no need workaround.
first u must register a valid astro account to get id and pw.
then install the app on q5ii from playstore, just like any app.
open app, id and pw asked, key in.
and viola!

same simple procedure for ipad.

Bro, I just wander what does Q5ii identified itself in playstore, Q5 identified itself as "Unknown Full AOSP on godbox"
Could this be one of the reason that it can be install in Q5ii but not Q5?

in play store, it is listed as astro on the go, logo is astro go.

think in one other thread, someone explained it can't work on q5. cant remember which one...

I mean what Q5II identified itself to playstore. Like this one:

think if device is supported, auto detect, it just go thru...
