Had our Almera for 3 months, just finished 2nd round service. So far here are the problems I've encountered (Our Almera is VL spec, no body kit). Hopefully no more problems in the future (Touch wood biggrin.gif)

1. Alignment not balanced, causing steering wheel to shake after 90KPH. Found this out on the 1st day of purchase
2. Bearing problem, had high pitch sound after 70KPH. Was more obvious 2 months after purchase
3. Air Con having a loud sound when activated, loudest especially in the morning after car is warmed up. Apparently is normal because Latio is also using the same Air Con system and also has the same loud sounds. Should be nothing to worry about.

Same problem as yours on wheel bearing, awaiting parts to arrived to replace.

I had my rear/right bearing replaced. Sent to Balakong SC but the SA told me hv to wait for 2 weeks. Then I called cust service and manage to get the parts replaced in less than a week. You may call cust service for further assistance.

I had mine replaced in Jalan Kemajuan PJ Service Center, left our Almera there for around 2 days.

Physicals/characteristics
Almera : spacious,  larger leg room, larger boot storage, nice interior built quality, auto climate control (VL), intelligent key (VL), good fuel efficiency, elegant look
Slightly less pickup than vios,  odd auto climate control panel design,  no usb connectivity for HU, no auto fold side mirrors

Vios : average size, good pickup, good fuel consumption, it's a Toyota, been proven durability
Bad design (IMO), more pricey
*
for almera, is it possible to add on auto fold side mirrors later on?

just tested the almera today. VL spec. very impressed with the NVH of the car. power is as expected, lack on the higher end. didn't really manage to drive "fast" as traffic was heavy.

agree on the funky climate control and no USB..

other than that, pretty satisfied with the price and solid-ness of the ride.

most likely gonna trade in my honda civic for this car... a very practical car rclxms.gif
