just tested the almera today. VL spec. very impressed with the NVH of the car. power is as expected, lack on the higher end. didn't really manage to drive "fast" as traffic was heavy. agree on the funky climate control and no USB.. other than that, pretty satisfied with the price and solid-ness of the ride. most likely gonna trade in my honda civic for this car... a very practical car This post has been edited by arrowhead7372: Mar 24 2013, 01:40 AM

QUOTE(Jemi @ Mar 25 2013, 11:47 PM) It's been said that, Almera have stability issue 100km/h onward, how to overcome this? Change wider tire? drive slower lol

i notice something weird abt my seatbelt. the driver side seatbelt is perfectly normal and fine. theres this button at the middle to prevent the buckle from falling to the floor. is it the same for the passenger side??? my passenger side is totally diff. its like.... the end of the seatbelt, folded and sewed on. my fc quite poor. averages 9.0 litres/100km according to the dashboard meter. however, my full tank of ron95 @ abt Rm65 - can get me nothing more than 330km then the light blinks already..

QUOTE(louyit @ May 19 2013, 10:24 PM) that's very bad FC u have there, how's ur driving style? keep it below 3k RPM at every gear if possible? and below 2.5k RPM in city traffic? i drive alot in the city. when i first got the car, i nv go pass 3k rpm. i have been driving it very gently. maybe cuz the car is still new. clocking over 2k mileage only. hoping it will get better...

QUOTE(octop @ May 21 2013, 10:00 PM) That's normal if your car is new & you drive a lot in City. The pickup is too soft so ppl tend to step harder on pedal. But since you so 'sayang' your car, it makes you step on the pedal longer to keep the RPM around 2500 on pickup, that actually consume more fuel. This's more taxing when the road is a bit sloppy. Drive naturally, FC will improve when your mileage exceed 5k. * I've been study the FC since I got the car now mileage around 3500 km, 60%heavy traffic 40% light traffic cond cost me RM60 for 380km. Avg 8.3 l/100 km. words of comfort... hahaha ok will continue to monitor

QUOTE(taiping boy @ Sep 18 2013, 10:44 PM) Nowadays i really felt that upon starting the aircond theres some not so nice smell coming out.. Anyone realised this? Anyway to overcome? My gloves box seems to have some gap on it. Can ask SC to fix it ? Foc? My car is about to dur for second service. 5k + mileage. I think the FC not good. 11++ liter/100km.. How to improve? Already super light foot drive. Barely step 1inch on the pedal liaoo.. Alignment lari abit.. How much SC charge to fix it? For second service wat type of EO is used? Semi or full syn? wah. ur FC is bad man. mine is at 9.2l/100km and i am already complaining. but then again, mine is 100% city driving. no chance to go on a highway at all. u should ask the SC to fix everything. shouldnt have gaps at the glove box. allignment, im sure they will charge u.
