Audio Technica ath-a900x vs Beyerdynamic 770 dt pro 80Ohm

I'm looking for all rounder headphone. Which 1 you think suit me? Prefer balance, detail and transparent. Bass is a much for me.

Do you prefer bass or a more balanced sound? You can't have a bassy and still balanced sound. Anyway if you don't have a powerful enough amplifier, would suggest you consider the 250 ohm instead of the 600ohm.

lol typo error XD is "must" not much. I mean have adequate bass for rock music. I have Hippo Cricri as my amplifier.

Balance > bass

With the Cricri I would still recommend the 250 over the 600ohm version. I personally like the Beyer house sound more, but adequate bass varies from person to person. I'm personally happy with the amount of bass from a 880 and I find the 770 too bassy. The 770 would offer slightly more details than the a900x.

If looking for all rounder and good bass between A900x and dt770pro, definitely my best recommendation will be DT770pro, full range with slight enhance on mid low and low frequency.

I had a great experience with jaben on Saturday, picked up a pair of Shure SE535 Clears. Loving the sound, just fiddling with trying to find the right earbuds. I am tempted to try the Comply professionals unless there are any other suggestions?

That's the risk of operating a business.

You can't prevent it from happening as that is how they operate the business. Jaben can enforce a strict no testing policy but that will treat real potential jaben buyers unfairly just because of this minority of scrooges.

Neither can they say no to particular people if they think they are just there to screw around, or they will be accused of being biased.

So, they just take it in their stride for the sake of the "authentic" jaben customers. This is what you should be appreciative for.

yup.. i really appreciate Jaben for letting ppl to audition stuffs, else we might waste our money for something we might not like.. for me, never have a second thought to go to other shop other than Jaben, except for looking for used items in garage sell. blush.gif

if you look at it from both perspective...

jaben has to risk wasting their own time on people who goes up with ulterior motives, but yet they have to do it because that is part of their business model

while a 2nd hand seller might not have the obligation to provide audition services and i believe if you are a 2nd hand seller yourself, you yourself would also not want to waste your time and money traveling to somewhere just to meet a person who only have a 50% chance of following through with the deal right?

then of course comes the buyer who is expected to be given everything... haha...

you can never be fair to both sides.. it either benefits the seller or it benefits the buyer...

Yeah, we do understand there will be this kind of customer exist, they are just free-loaders. Thinking that we provide free services and end up buying from some whatever seller that sells slightly cheaper (if exist).
