You do not need to pull the plug. To clear ECU memory, you just need to pull the fuse for few seconds. Careful, don't break it. Thanks to mengsuan contribution

Look at the pictures below, you justify. Do you seriously think the prrrastic IAFM can last more than 10 years under extreme heat condition in engine bay? Let's hope I think Plotong ady did a great job to promise product life time warranty up to 10 years, especially on the well known Powahwindoe Rosak Oh Tidak Oh No issues

Clear memory means the engine recent detection. Temporary record such as recent top speed, recent top RPM, recent radiator core temperature. However, it does not clear fault code and certain part of the driving experience storage(unknown). The rest of the ECU are programmed inside EEPROM(Electronic Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory). Resetting by fuse/cut power are not going to erase this part of the memory. It need an electronic command to rewrite/remove/erase/program every single byte. There's a small part of the ECU contain a fail safe module, which is a FLASH memory. It is another form of EEPROM, but it can't be partially modify, and needed a password to read/format/write. I believe this part of the FLASH stores the whole brain, and it's the fail safe/backup memory as and when there's error/damage to the ECU. I have not able to access the FLASH, but accidentally flashed my EEPROM by restored the whole factory setup from the FLASH memory That is as far I can tell how it works. Any other thing, PASSWORD required, which I do not have
