Applied online, the CS called and said my application was for the RM55 cashback + TnG card even though the application didn't specify which! Better still, he said he couldn't change the selection....what a waste for the 1st card. Instead, he applied for a 2nd card with RM300 cashback on it. Typical SC, heard of their screw-ups before from friends. Oh well, just use it and cancel after 6 months i guess.

The card was sent using normal snail mail with a plastic covering. Not poslaju etc. just FYI for anyone wondering.

the current promo seems flattering to me. planning to get the rm55 + smartag + 15% rebate.
after some calculation, at least need to use petrol rm90 monthly to get the most of it.
wanna ask, is there any difference between applying online and through bank/agent? which one is better? (in terms of faster approval, faster get card, etc)..

Added on December 27, 2012, 12:52 pmi called in to ask and they said for the groupon RM300 cash back, RM55 is credited now (then deducted RM50 for service tax). then 30 days after activation, the balance cashback RM245 will be credited into my acc.

Make sure you select the right option if presented online. Somehow my application got defaulted to RM55 + TouchNGo instead of the cashback. Called the sales + CS team and they said nothing could be done. They said I didn't tick the right option on the online form and then it defaults to the TnG, although I don't remember doing that. Anyway, could be my mistake but at least others can learn from it

Just receive SMS my application had approved, but I havent get the card yet.
Plan to use this card for 6month due to petrol rebate since my petrol consumption accounted to RM400+ per month. After that may cancel it if the benefit is not so attractive.
May I  know what the criteria of the annual fee waiver?

But i didn't see the petrol cashback..when will i get the cashback.?

I was rewarded with RM300 cashback. But then I found out that thr benefits have been reduced.
Cancelled it without using the cashback.

Gulps. That's pretty useless to have that. I was expecting on item 1 and 2...

I guess that's the only option for me.
Hopefully they won't reject me because I did reject their SCB Platinum before when they called to offer me.

My Renewal SCB Plat. took 6 Weeks to Sampai... (by Postlaju)
From I get Sms early Nov. (which the Old 1 nearly expire) said they have sent out the Card till I call up the CS to complain X received my replacement Card at mid-Dec 2012 

Wherelse, Others Bank need only 3-5 days to sent the Card to ppl, Citibank the Best...
Today, you get they card approval 2morow the card sudah sampai from KL to Penang also by Poslaju...

it is not just RM300 cash back, there is an additional RM100 as in my case. However it is only  for my Plat Visa and Master.
My SC visa and MC both came with  RM300 cash back each. Minus GST RM50 i spent off the RM250 in each card.
I also received cash back RM300 for my Preferred World MC, minus GST RM50 i spent off the  RM250.

I thought that was the end of SC cards usage.

The subsequent statement came, stated there in my VIsa and Master C, there is another cashback RM100 in each card! Iam surprised also.
. But no additional cash back for the Preferred world MC.
So total cashback for new customer applied the cards in November is RM 400 each for Visa and MC, but only RM300 for World MC.

Anybody received similar CB like this?

SC is really nice to some of us!! I applied online - on 25.10.12. Received the visa and MC on 17.11.12 with RM300 in each statement.
I spent off the RM250 on each of both cards on 5.12.12.

Next statement dated 9.1.2013 showed----> 13.12.2012 Cashback  - transaction no.348000984156      -    RM100 CR in Visa Plat
                                                                  13.12.12    Cash back  - transaction no. 34800984929        -  RM100 CR in Plat MC.
The CB came with transaction numbers..........dont know if it is reward for using the cards quickly or what.........
Received my World MC on 29.11.12 and I  also spent off that RM250 on 5.12.12 but, no magic RM100 CR pulak, puzzling..

Im existing customer of SCB. I have upgraded my gold visa to platinum visa and i have received the platinum card today via post. When i check my card statement online, i saw a cash back of RM55. After minus RM50 it left only RM5. SO am i entitled for the touch n go and 15% petrol cash back? Anyway my request for upgrading the card is through phone call to sales manager.

If i apply for the preferred world mastercard now,am i entitled to get the RM300 cash back? Must it be done online?

better use it up. not scared they may take back the CB?

When I was at my fren's office, the SC sales agent was trying to literally wrestle my IC outta my hands and keep telling me there's free gift if I sign up for their CC

They don't even bother to explain anything except free gift and etc.

In fact, they told me SC can't get supplementary card     

Hi any term and condition after i used the RM300 cash back and want to terminate? i request for terminate then get call from SCB that they not allow me to terminate due to i already used the RM300 cash back, only can terminate after one year.

but they will waived the annual fees for 2 years rite during this promo?
