Just share with you what I heard from my colleague.
He previously applied a credit card via online and he submitted all the documents. (Cash back RM350)
One day a fella called up asking for a copy of his IC due to it is blur. Without hesitation, my colleague email this fella his photocopy IC.
The next thing he knows when he collect his card is cash back is RM300 instead of RM350 due to RM50 goes to agent @@
I suspect the agents login to the system and trying fool around with customer like us.

kanethesun mentioned (although it might be his mistake), i need to share my experience as well.
i've applied my 2nd scb card some 2 months back, during that time, i've received an sms saying that my application was successful, then a day later, an agent called me, to say my application is unsuccessful. i was a bit skeptical and told him that i've received sms saying it's successful. he talk abit more and hang up. after that, one or two weeks later, i received my card. so i rub off the whole incident....
until my fren applied for his first scb card. as a new applicant might know, now we can't submit the document through online, only thru email. so my fren did that, then he received a call from an agent, telling him that the email din go through, bla bla bla, ask him to send the document into a direct email (but still with scb domain) and told him that becoz of that he will get rm50 less. my fren argue with him on that as this is system error, and not because of the incomplete documents. i can't remember what happen next but i remember my fren not agree with the rm50 being deducted and he would rather re-apply
the next day after the call, he got his sms approval and one week later, his card.
i'm not sure whether in this 2 incidents, the agent actually wanna cheat the new applicants so that they will earn their agent fee.
all i can say is i just want to share with everyone here about this, if they really do that, it's really unprofessional of them.
